just go see it and find out.
You can barely see anything when they are naked. It's so dark. If you're going just for the nudity you will be disappointed.
Almost all of them do it. Minus Gavin and a few others. It happens at the end of Act I.
I have been there where some do it and then the next time they don't. So I would say about 90% of the cast does it. And Gavin sings so he doesn't get naked.
It's an if-you-feel-the-spirit-move-you type thing I'm assuming. Yay for distracting lighting! :)

Best thread title of the year.
In the Original (in which a lot fewer got naked),
the girls would be excused from getting bare once a month.

The girl's what?
Yes, in the days of your mother's pad!
From my front row seat I was actually suprised how very much was still clearly visible. That being said, I thought the scene was so much more meaningful at the Hirschfeld than at the park. It was really beautiful.
And Gavin doesn't stay clothed BECAUSE he's singing, it's a character decision.
And I didn't notice anyone NOT being naked...but I wasn't looking for anyone in particular.

The people who opt out of the nudity usually go offstage and sing from the wings. Or at least I saw Saycon Sengbloh back there one time, when I was sitting all the way on the right.
Nothing much has changed since 1968 ..... "it" happens at the same point in the show, and the individual cast members can decide what they want to do for each performance.
Sasha Allen left the stage. That was the only one I really noticed. And Will Swenson always stands in the back and then when people leave in front of him he cover up.
What everyone else said.
(Chita, that isn't Sasha Allen in your avatar...)
Didn't this same poster start another thread about the Hair nudity?

I think the audience should get naked!
Wait... you mean there's no lap-dance?

Wait,,, what... You mean I wasn't supposed to?

I know. I always forget to do it/I'm too lazy.

Really?
Doesn't it take more time to think of a response and then type it and then post it (depending on the speed of your internet) rather than just find a picture and upload it?
It's really not that bad. They're only naked for part of one song, and it's dark.
Also, it's an important plot point that Claude doesn't do the nudity. It sets him apart from the others, and it's foreshadowing.

Can you just shut the **** up. You are obviously not welcome here. All you do is make trouble just like TooDarnHot and TheCharleston... I wonder what that's all about?

What's bad about nudity.
It's actually very different than the Original in which the cast were all under like a large blanket with holes and they would put there heads thru the holes and the blanket would fall and they would be nude and totally still.
I think back then it was only OK to be naked if you didn't move, then it was lewd.
