Right On Time from The Wedding Singer. as much as i loved the show, this song always irked me. the music was ok, but the lyrics were terrible. Someday (which replaced it) was much better.
Loopin' the Loop, while a wonderful song, is no Nowadays, I'll tell you that. I wish Ten Percent had stayed though.
"the music was ok, but the lyrics were terrible"
So by viture of the music being ok it was actually better than any of the other songs in TWS?
I wish Ten Percent had stayed
- While Ten Percent is a good song. If the agent character stayed, we would've lost Mama Morton. And Morton is one of the highlights of the show. She gets a killer solo number, and an amazing duet. Her character has more substance.
The witch and cow scenes in Spamalot were mercifully cut after the Chicago tryout. REALLY dragged the show down...
Echoing something said earlier, the Pirate Queen should follow the Spamalot example, but cut out and replace almost everything.
Zzzzzzzzzz....
I loved Right on Time but I think Someday fit the show a lot better and fit that moment better!
"Wonder," which was the song that came before "Someday" and "Right On Time"
"I Wonder" is pretty but I agree; they finally got it right with "Someday." Took them long enough, too!

Also from the fuzzy Avenue Q book: A scene where Kate and Princeton take Ecstasy and ride the glass elevators at the Marriott Marquis.
The tap dancing in the morgue song called "Lucky Duck" (i think), which was cut after the first preview of THOU SHALT NOT.

"Wonder" i thought was a great song, but i really didnt see how it could it fit into the show (granted i hadnt seen the show from Seattle so i dont know what the context of the scene was" and it was easily a better song than "Right On Time"...and as cheesy as they were, i kinda miss the old lyrics from "Its Your Wedding Day"

Gaston and the Beast kissed at one point? How weird is that...

"Tourette's Guy singing and flying after he dies in In My Life"
Do you mean FLOATING ON AIR, which was never cut...?
And, from IN MY LIFE, Vera's Rap. Oy.

Guys, the Gaston-and-Beast-kissing thing is what is commonly referred to as a joke. Don't you people read?

I'm glad that cut the last scene in Tarzan where he hangs himself by a vine, and then the monkeys turn it into a mass suicide party.
Darn.....I wish that scene happened

Uuuuh, that sounds fun.
That would have been cool.
That Avenue Q ecstacy moment sounds funny.
Definitely all of the Rent songs that were cut.
WithoutATrace -- the song from Thou Shalt Not was called "Dumb Luck" and yes it definitely needed to go!

I am guessing that is the same scene from Thou Shalt Not that featured a nude Rachelle Rak as a cadaver.
The 17-performance flop "Marilyn" musical from 1983 featured "The Foster Home Dream Ballet" in at least one preview - it was quickly cut before opening. My late friend Randy Emerian saw it and described it as "Baby Marilyn dances over to one home where she gets pelted with liquor bottles...then dances over to another home wher she gets hit with bibles and crucifixes...and back and forth and back and forth".
I so regret missing this.
