I'm considering a Broadway vacation, and need some tips/advice.

If I were you, I would postpone the trip and keep saving up for a 2022 summer vacation; B'way will not be open until at least the fall due to COVID, plus you may get the opportunity to see more shows over a longer period of time in the future. One of the best things about seeing a show is that it is worth waiting for from time to time, and when you finally step into that theater you are blown away by every second- it's just an incredible feeling. Keep the faith and the patience!

I would second the advice to postpone it to late spring-early summer of 2022. There will be more shows to consider and maybe other NYC attractions would be more available then. You may want to check if there are hotels accepting reservations now but with free cancellation policies. It is true that plane fares and hotel rates seem to be on the rise now. I have been checking them lately but I do come from overseas.

I have seen theatre all across the world, and in my opinion Broadway is by far the best place in the world for musicals. Of course London has its moments (mostly productions of American musicals, go figure) - and there are always good plays on there - and of course Broadway seasons can go up and down -but nothing can beat the material and performers of musicals on Broadway on the whole.
