does anyone know if most of the same cast will return?
Since it says casting will be announced shortly, I'm guessing only the producers know.
I am very excited for this to come back since I missed it last time. Did it recoup last year?
hello. glad it will be back at the marquis. it was soldout all last year for its run.
yankees1253, it was hardly sold out for the entire run. The last few weeks the orchestra was 1/3+ empty.
I'm glad it's returning. I hope they find another Martha though. Susan Mansur was annoying and dreadful.
Yay, I really need to see this since I didn't last year. I hope they do a lottery again too.
As a whole it sold very very well last year.
It's a really fun, cute show.
sorry i meant mostly soldout. i feel it is a holiday run show but not a full season.

It was lots of fun last year. Hope to see it again!!
Meredith Patterson was terrible too. I hope they replace her.
Eh. I didn't bother last year and probably won't again. I feel like the things that make the movie fun are unique to corny old movies. Sort of like putting Singin' in the Rain onstage.
yet White Christmas works, just like Singin' in the Rain works if put in the right hands.
Since 9 to 5 is closing, they need to grab Karen Murphy for Martha. I saw her on the tour and the audience adored her every minute. She was perfect and stopped the show. GET KAREN MURPHY INTO WHITE CHRISTMAS!!!! NOW!!!!!!
I never got a chance to see it last year, so I'm glad I'll have the chance this year.
Maybe they will put Jill Paice and Megan Sikora in. They were amazing on tour.

Meredith Patterson was horrible as Judy? Are you INSANE!!!???? She was the best part of that show. She is a MGM movie musical...pure perfection. I'd love to see someone try do that role better than her.

Jill Paice is already doing a Broadway show. Megan Sikora? Not sure about her as Judy. Like I said, Meredith is hard to beat.
"Are you INSANE!!!????"
No, people just have different opinions.
"I'd love to see someone try do that role better than her."
I liked her, but I am sure there are many people who could do just as good or even better.

Sorry....there's different opinions, then there's insanity. :)
How many triple threats are there out there? Meredith is like a quadruple threat. Dance, Sing, Act, and Tap!! Oh, and she's tall, and gorgeous.
Sorry...I'd love to see someone else try. Meredith is untouchable. The best Peggy Sawyer ever on Broadway, and the best Judy Haynes I've ever seen.
Vera Ellen didn't even sing in the movie, she was dubbed.
Ms. Patterson is flawless.
I liked Meredith Patterson in the role.
And on a slightly related note, whatever happened to Kate Levering? She should take a shot at it!
InfiniteTheaterFrenzy: Thanks for naming her! I was trying to remember who originated Peggy Sawyer in the most recent 42nd Street revival.

Hugh Jackman is all of the above.
Before calling someone "untouchable" in the role, I'd recommend seeing a few different people play Judy first.
When does it open? I know that it starts previews on November 13, but it does not say what the opening night is.
