Is He Dead? Worth it?

Theater buff friend in town. The problems is I have seen everything and he hasn't seen anything. Should I drag him to one of my favorites or see Is He Dead? I don't want to drag him to a poop of a show.

It is pretty funny, but I found the first act dull. It gets better as it progresses, but I think there are better shows.

IS HE DEAD? is a total blast! Absolutely take your friend. It is hilarious from beginning to end. Completely unpredictable, with a dozen individual, top notch performances. A guaranteed good time.

I recommend it. I agree with CouldaWouldaShoulda that it starts off a little slow, but it gets better as it goes along. Norbert Leo Butz is absolutely hilarious.

re: Is He Dead? Worth it?

I saw the matinee yesterday, and I loved it. The show is in great shape considering it was the...5th preview? I laughed so hard. Norbert is, of course, brilliant, as is the cast as a whole. I would highly recommend it.
"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli

re: Is He Dead? Worth it?

"Is He Dead" is a completely unexpected, hilarious show. Norbet Leo Butz and Jenn Gambatese are stunning in this show. I only hope that it stays open long enough for everyone to see and enjoy.

I saw it Friday night, and I thought it was great! Norbert was incredible, the whole audience was laughing hysterically. And Jenn Gambatese was great too. I totally recommend it.

Any more reviews of this play? I can't wait to hear some more reviews.

re: Is He Dead? Worth it?

I saw it last night and thought it was hilarious. Norbert was great, as was the rest of the cast (I especially enjoyed Michael McGrath, Byron Jennings and Bridget Regan).

The main plot device has been done a billion times since this play was written, but it still works and if you just want a fun night at the theatre, where you will laugh and what a talented cast, go see this show.

Those of you who have seen it and gotten a drink or anything at the bar, hi we've met. Those who are coming, I'm at the bar, freezing. I need to try to sneak in and watch some of the show today or sometime this week. We have a Sunday matinee 'opening night'.
I killed the boss, you don't think they're gonna fire me over a thing like that!!!!

Matt, I plan on seeing it at least one more time.

I'll be sure to say hello when I do.

re: Is He Dead? Worth it?

I don't think the girls have much to do but there are a lot of funny accents on stage, Norbert is a captivating actor and it's a fun evening. Also terrific is the guy who plays all the random roles.
