Between the videos popping up nonstop....the ads, the crowded news stories all over the site.....horrible.... and makes me visit this page less.

This website was designed nearly 20 years ago. It was not built for cell phones or tablets. Works fine on a PC and the ads are not obnoxious, no pop ups at all today.
None that I visit. Maybe someday TPTB will enter the 2020’s. You’d think the past 10 months would have provided plenty of time to work on the site.

How much did it cost you to post this? Oh right nothing.

Maybe I'm just weird, but I kind of like that the site is cluttered and non-ergonomic. I have to make a conscious effort to look threads up and join conversations, which stops it from becoming more social media.
The only other worse one I can think of is All That Chat, which is like a fun throwback to forums circa 1998.
All That Chat is pretty clean, though. As outdated as it is.
agree the BWW layout is sloppily arranged -formatted and the site in general could use an update-refresh but doubt that will happen with BWAY closed for at least another 6-9 months
I actually like the new messages page I am seeing now on my phone that’s finally the full screen width. I know they’ve been busy with streaming and other new stuff during the pandemic but I always appreciate the board getting some love too.
I feel like it’s loading faster too lately? Thanks all!
BWW is an outdated and poorly organized mess. That's on PC and Mobile. It desperately needs an overhaul. I have for weeks now been getting asked to join BWW when... Hello? 12 year old account.

I read this on a laptop, and yeah, it's poorly designed, there are pop ups every day, as far as I can tell. The issues are not just that it isn't designed for a cellphone/tablet."
That said, it's free, so, meh.
Thanks for those who dropped some useful feedback in here... We're always committed to improvements to the site, and have many more coming up.
Yes @Macbeth - there were some mobile layout updates to expand the width of the board, and that's was also a good catch @TheatreFan4. You should stop seeing those prompts to register.
More to come soon, including some options for those looking for an ad-light experience. Any other ideas, bugs, quirks or thoughts- don't be shy. My PMs are open, and screenshots are always appreciated.
Thanks Rob!

Posts like these are just the worst. You apparently think you’re being witty. Trust me, you’re not.

I love this site (especially for the message boards) but I have been thinking of this for a while. This website is in major need of an update emote in today’s times, which also means better comparability for mobile/handheld devices. I like this new layout, but still. The app is slow at times, laggy, takes a while to upload, and yes the dreaded pop ups that can be difficult to close and can be distracting.

All That Chat is clean, but I find it harder to navigate than here tbh

Given how many people use handlers devices, it really is important for websites to make it more useable on handheld devices, differentiating it from its computer counterpart. It’s difficult to make it very convenient I assume, I’m just saying that in today’s world, it’s still important. But they have made great effort. I just believe there to be room for improvement

1.) who is your profile pic? It looks like Pete Davidson. Just curious
2.) that level of attitude from you was and is uncalled for. Especially here. Yes they were very outright in their opinions, and they were also rather of rude, but you don’t have to take this so personally. There are better and more mature ways to go about responding. Taking it that personally to that notch doesn’t help you or anyone, regardless of it if you are right or not, and I do see your point. It makes sense, but the way in which you presented it was uncalled for.

Whatever this latest change is, it makes it even worse on mobile IMO.

Speaking of Broadway being closed for the coming months, do you know of a single reference site that walks through the current, and updated, logistics that each city / country is doing for Broadway? So when Rome has a Broadway show but only at 50% and without any food and beverage, for example...?

I’m experiencing just the opposite, big improvement viewing it on my iPhone.
Anglar, what do you mean Rome?
And what do you mean "for Broadway"? Do you mean like how each city might be treating how they bring back live theatre? (Frozen in Australia is at 75% capacity, for example.)
But to answer what I think is your question, no, I don't believe there's a site that's aggregating various theatres' standards for health/safety.
