Per Telecharge.com: Performances resume July 13 starring Tony®, Grammy® & Golden Globe® Award winner Bernadette Peters and Tony® & Emmy ®Award winner Elaine Stritch. Casting after November 7 is TBD.
I suppose this means they're only signed on through 11/7.

There will be an avalanche of gays at this show every night. More than usual.

OMG - I have always missed seeing Bernadette Peters live, and now I am definitely getting tickets - multiple performances, ASAP. I think Peters and Hanson will be a very complex pair.

To my thinking, the combo of Bernadette and Angela would be ideal, but who cares? I saw Stritch in FULL MONTY last summer at this time, and she was in full command of her unique gifts. I have a feeling she will find a new take on Madame, and we should be open minded.
These two are truly musical theater royalty. Two glorious star talents who've suffered ups and downs in the business, devastating personal losses, and each has a special relationship with the work of Sondheim. It's an emotion-laden reunion with a man who has given them wonderful material in the past, and I'm rooting for its success as much as I could root for anything.
Stunt?
Give me stunts like this every season, and I'll be happy.

Given my avatar, it should be no surprise that I've already bought tickets. I've put off seeing this production for so long based on all the bad word of mouth (and the inflated ticket prices and the fact that I can't stand CZJ). But nothing will keep me from seeing these two on stage. I even went to New Jersey to see Stritch in The Full Monty. New Jersey!!

I assume Peters and Stritch will use British accents, especially since Hanson is staying. I can't wait to see how it turns out!

I agree there is something that seems reliable/robust about that combination and image, but with Stritch it seems exciting, almost 'exotic'.

On her Ask a Star video Bernadette tried to do her British accent from "Song and Dance" for a fan, but she couldn't do it anymore. Maybe she can now.

Well the production has/had a dialect coach. So hopefully she will work with both actresses extensively.

Wonder if Stritch will change "bosom(s)" to "boobs"?

How totally wonderful. I hope both ladies are big hits!

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.
