Do cast albums sell many copies anymore. I wonder how many recent shows have sold.
Whether or not cast albums sell to the masses, they help a show get licensed. The more people are familiar with it, the more likely it is to be produced locally or on a school level and that’s where a lot of money is made.

Listening right now. Gracie Lawrence Who's Sorry Now is about to go triple platinum in this house.
This sounds great!
Groff is in glorious voice, Erika gives a lovely performance, and GRACIE FREAKIN’ LAWRENCE, are you kidding me with that vocal range?!
The orchestrations are the other star of the album, big ups to Andrew Resnick and Michael Thurber who are well worthy of their accolades.
Might just find its way in for the Grammys.
