With last night's reviews, I feel like we've got a chance of the production extending again, do you think we might wind up with any exciting replacements?

Whoever they cast is going to really have to be an athletic dancer. None of these tracks (aside from Gus and maybe Old Deut) are princess tracks and require a very special set of skills or the ability to pick it up quickly.
The great thing here is that most of this cast seems game to be in it for the long haul, especially the ballroom performers, because they believe in this project.
Based on his outfit that he wore to the show the other night, I could definitely see Jelani Alladin taking over the Tugger or Macavity tracks at some point. They also have alum from the downtown run (and also SATURDAY CHURCH) they could call on - Antwayn Hopper, Rodrick Covington, Shereen Pimentel, Jenny Mollet, Zachary A. Meyers, Jovan E’Sean, and Ivy Mugler.

I don't want someone to play Grizabella who is going to just make a vocal pyrotechnic experience. Tempress really put a stamp on who Grizabella is for this production and I think it should stay within that realm.
Another name to throw out, Honey Balenciaga from Beyonce's two recent tours. Kevin JZ Prodigy as Munkustrap or Gus? He'd give a real legitimacy to Munkustrap as the MC.

That'd push the show to 5 hours long, the unions would have a fit.

It’s Jenifer Lewis. Show some respect. Geez.

Sutton Foster and Aaron Tveit, obviously. And maybe Andrew Barth Feldman.

I don’t think this is a production that will- or should- rely on “name” casting (and there are really only a handful of roles in it conducive to it). Maybe a comparably legendary figure can step into Old Deutoronomy, maybe a recognizable ball figure can step into Macavity or Grizabella. But this production relies heavily on authenticity, so slotting somebody in who can sing their face off isn’t the vibe.

Sis Thee Doll would be a good addition to the cast - I've been a fan of hers since I saw her as Ado Annie in the Oklahoma! tour

Alexandra Billings as Grizabella would be incredible

1. It's selling very well
2. It received rave reviews
3. It'll likely take home several Tony Awards.
This should end up running for several years as long as they can cast the right replacements.

The thought just hit me that we're never going to get Ken Page playing Deuteronomy like he absolutely would have ended up doing down the line if he was still with us.

I was very fortunate to have Page as one of the guest judges when I saw the show at PAC in late July 2024.

I was there that same night!!
The casting director actually released an Instagram story a few weeks back when they were discussing casting choices and Ken Page was considered for Gus for the Off Broadway run, but decided to go with Junior instead to keep balance.
