I would love to see Jennifer Aniston in the role-just not sure if she can sing it. I think she's a major talent (Saw The Good Girl and thought she was really great.) If she can sing it, I say cast her. She has the look down, that's for sure.

A major talent? The Good Girl was nearly 10 years ago. She's made tons of movies since then...what great talent have we seen in them? Yeah, she can play the girlfriend, or recovering-from-heartbreak, or sparring with loved ones. We saw her do that for years on Friends. Jennifer Aniston, like the entire Friends cast, is limited. All of them were totally right for their Friends roles, and their chemistry and perfs were good. But none of them has proved they're actually all-around great actors. Please do not say Opposite of Sex, either. That's like constantly referring to Good Girl for Aniston. One good performance doesn't make you a major talent. Courtney Love was very good in The People Vs. Larry Flynt. Is she a major acting talent????

You've seen one of her movies, you've seen them all. In her "genre" she's quite good, but she's no Funny Girl.

That is definitely an amazing photo spread and does indeed raise an intriguing question. While I'm not advocating in any way just handing her the role based merely on some pictures, I do think that the producers of the rumored revival do now have one more actress, and let's be honest, a much bigger star name than Ms. Michele, to potentially consider.

Yeah, actually she is. Jane Fonda hadn't made a movie in 15 years before MONSTER IN LAW. Does that mean she was no longer a major acting talent?

As for Aniston, you asked after THE GOOD GIRL what other films she's given good performances in since, well there's THE BREAK UP (a surprisingly honest look at the ending of a relationship where she gave one hell of a layered performance), FRIENDS WITH MONEY (where she was robbed of an Oscar nomination. Watch just the last minute of that film and you'll see something as heartbreaking as anything you've ever seen on film before) and MARLEY & ME which was just as depressing as you can get but with a great performance by her just to name three. I'm not saying her other movies weren't good but even in the ones that weren't so great (DERAILED), she still was able to outshine the material.

And don't forget Courtney Love's performance in MAN ON THE MOON. You don't have to be Meryl Streep and have movies come out every year to be a great actor.

Go ahead and laugh at me...and yes I realize the age difference....BUT...I still dream of Idina as Fanny....In fact at the Tony awards I can hear the lyrics in a montage...The Wizard and I....I'm the greatest star...could work great as did Tonight, tonight... Luck be a lady tonight.....as in '09 Tony show....

JORDAN: I agree that she is an "untapped" talent.The potential is certainly there in all the films you have mentioned. I happen to like her alot and am hoping for one GREAT role for her to show everyone what's really inside. And all it takes is one great role, look at Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock. When I think of GREAT actresses, they don't come to mind. It can happen to Jennifer.
