I love Ms. Holliday, and even though I do not particularly like Atlanta, I might consider another trip down south.
I saw her in December, she looks and sounds great. Sure, she is a bit long in the tooth for the part now, but she is an incredibly charismatic performer...no matter what her other faults may be. And no one (including myself) is perfect.

Frenchie Davis is going to playing Effie here in Pittsburgh.
I'm pretty excited!
Theatre is a safe place to do the unsafe things that need to be done.

I kind of wish people would give the woman a break. People aren't beating down her door with offers and - however we may snark about it - there is an audience for this.
For what it's worth, I saw her play Effie in Atlanta in 2002 and I thought it was worth the trip.
