I'll probably still see this with Gad & Rannells BUT will keep a close eye on social in case Gad happens to have to miss 5 days of work due to the inescapable you-know-what.

Anyone know if they sell the box seats at the box office yet?

New York TImes profile (gift link):
Casey Nicholaw, the director of “The Book of Mormon,” had noted this contrast. “Josh’s comedy basically just says, ‘Watch me. Love me.’ Josh is just out there,” he said. “And Andrew’s is sneaky. Andrew knows how to just hold himself with grace and dignity and then just go for it.”
Each has a different process, a different style, a different affect. Collaborators I spoke with compared them to famous comic duos — Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello. Gad cited “The Odd Couple.”

I'd love to see them in a revival of Urinetown: The Musical.

As who???
At 45, Rannells seems too old for the plucky young lover Bobby Strong, and Gad doesn't seem remotely right for Cladwell or Lockstock.
Think in our modern era you need a Lockstock with genuine menace, with Bobby and the rebel poor to be played by people of color to further illustrate police violence and oppressive systems.

Rannells plays young, so yes him as Bobby, and Gad could handle Lockstock.
O.K., you kinda caught me. (Just kinda, I do think Rannells could play Bobby. But Gad... yeah not so good as Lockstock. Totally suited for Barrel, but that's not a starring role).
I just want a revival of Urinetown sooo badly, I want anyone in it that could bring it to Broadway. ![]()

Code BISCUITS for $49/$69/$99 through October 11th

I went to the Works & Process event for this at the Guggenheim last night. What a blast.
Timbers unfortunately was not there as he was apparently under the weather, which caused Josh to joke(?) about also having a sore throat (although if he did you wouldn't have been able to tell by his singing)
A lot of discussion about how the show came to be and the journey to now, and we got to hear three songs, I think we were the first audience outside of the production to hear the guys sing these numbers which was exciting and hilarious.
Is anyone else going this week, Based on the songs we heard I am so looking forward to people's reactions to this show, I think it is going to be the kind of thing people walk out of either over the moon about or probably hating tbh

Anyone know if they'll implement a rush policy (or lotto) for this?

Went to "dress" last nite.
It is VERY( very) funny!
Josh and Andrew are G.R.E.A.T--SO much to praise about their perfs--and with terrif guidance from Alex!!!!!!
But--the show is no "Title of Show"--I realize Josh/Andrew did not write Gutenberg
(just comparing score/book of a show about writing a show)
