"I wouldn't let Esparza's Bobby take my kids to the zoo...I'd be afraid he'd steal their ice cream and laugh."- YankeeFan

And really, how bad can she be? *knock on wood* It's Mama Morton, not Mama Rose.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
Well, as I said, I think she's got a great voice. However, the only material I have to judge her acting skills by is her former role on "Life as We Know It." Let's hope that isn't reflective of her stage skills
The morning star always gets wonderful bright the minute before it has to go --doesn't it?
She had and okay and a very good presence to her. I personally enjoy her second album A LOT. Let's hope she can act.
I have NEVER met Cheyenne Jackson. I have never hung out with him in his dressing room, he did not tweet me, he never bought me a beverage, and he mostly certainly didn't tickle me. . .that is all.
Just OK? Donna Marie is a true Broadway Triple Threat. I saw her years ago as one of the CellBlock girls, and have not had the privilege of seeing her go on as Velma, but I will tell you this: If she was one tenth the Velma as she was as a Cell Block Girl, she is definitely a force to be reckoned with. It is truly condescending to say she hasn't gone further than she has because of a lack of talent. Her Playbill Bio mentions she is a wife and mother...perhaps the sacrifices she's made for her family have prevented her from moving forward. Broadway is lucky to have such a talented professional. To make a sniping remark like yours is just stupid. Are you a theatre professional? Do you have any idea what it takes to make it on Broadway? As far as the Stunt Casting is concerned, if the majority of the theatre going public just went for a great piece of work presented brilliantly, they wouldn't have to resort to the odd 'name' to get asses in the seats. Broadway is a very different animal than it was in years past, and Producers have to resort to whatever tactics they can to keep a show running. The fact that this revival has run as long as it has, owes a lot to the 'stunt casting'. The fact that the integrity of the show is still pristine is due to the people in the ensemble...and all the 'non names' who bang it out 8 times a week. Broadway is about 'heart'. And this show is overflowing with it.
God bless Donna Marie...and all those Broadway performers who are just like her.
It makes all the difference in the world. I don't believe for a second that you're a theatre professional. Donna Marie is one of the most well-respected actresses on Broadway. What do you do? Sell T-Shirts?
