It would make sense if they also have her double as older Wendy. But hey it's a one night only prime time event. Of course we're going to see established broadway performers playing smaller roles, and we wouldn't see it elsewhere.

What about Benanti? That was purely speculation on this board.

O'Hara is a much warmer performer in my opinion and will be perfect in this role.

She's supremely overqualified for this role, but good for her.

As for singing, it's pretty much Tender Shepherd (which is short), unless they use the Marooner's Rock scene (in place of Mysterious Lady) where Mrs. Darling traditionally doubles as the Mermaid, in which case she'd get a smidge more to sing.
