Getting ready for work this morning I heard the familiar voice of Kerry Butler on my radio singing altered lyrics for the newest (and probably last) radio spot for Beauty and the Beast.

I thought it was "here for thirteen years, ran to say the least, come and join us now, before our final bow, Beauty and the Beast?"
yeah.. that would make more sense :)

I heard the spot yesterday at Cohen's Fashion Optical. It was the cherry on a good eye wear purchasing day.
I remember seeing her in the show years ago. 1997 was it? Wow, was Kerry Butler really Belle 10 years ago?!

I know people want this show to close, but it really was charming and I am going to miss it.

I don't want it to close
i thought that was her! Kerry was amazing as Belle.
I heard this the week I was in NYC in a shop, so early March.
It was cute...I love Kerry...
I'm going to miss it too, Millie. It has sentimental value for me. It was the first Broadway show I've seen, as is the case with many people, I'm sure.

hmm... doesn't it kinda sound like she's saying "grand to say the least"? I dunno...
Grand would make more sense.
It does!
She also says "come enjoy us now."
That was cute.
She was a Belle U/S right?

Thanks for letting us know. I think Kerry is great
She was a Belle U/S right?
When I saw the show she was Belle, not the u/s. Plus, i believe she was the original Canadian Belle, at least that's what it seems from the pics in my souvenier program from the first time I saw the show (which was the time I saw it with Kerry as Belle) circa 1996.
Kerry was never a Belle u/s.
She originated the role in the Toronto production and then took over the role (she was the 3rd I believe) Belle on Broadway and had one of the longest runs in the role.
Okay seriously what is she saying if she's not saying "Ran to say the least?"
I heard the same exact thing and laughed out loud. In a way you can hear with your ears.
