Brilliant casting!!
Only if he morphs into Ray Donovan during it.

I assume Liev is playing Valmont which Dominic West played in the Donmar production. Wonder if Elaine Cassidy will reprise her role or if they'll get someone else.
Oooooooooooooh, Janet McTeer!!!!!!
Let the games begin indeed! I love, love, love this play. I wonder who for Madame de Tourvel?
I saw the original production with Alan Rickman as Valmont. The 1988 film adaptation with Malkovich, Close and that Goddess known as Michelle Pfeiffer remains a favorite. I haven't seen it on stage since the original production. I definitely have to see this production. I am a big fan of Liev Schreiber.
Is there any chance OP can spell the name of the show correctly in the thread title?
DANGER - USES...lol
Hopefully it packs more of a punch than the tepid, dull, revival that Roundabout served up a few years ago.
The leaden performance by Laura Linney (so terribly miscast) sank that production. I don't think that will be the case here. McTeer is supposed to be sensational. Schreiber is an intriguing choice for Valmont. On paper he seems all wrong, but I've never seen him be anything less than fascinating on stage.
Surprised me this transferred. I wouldn't think this would of had commercial appeal, think it will be a hard sell. I saw it at the Donmar and it's fairly good.
I thought that the National Theatre's production of Ma Rainey's Black Bottoms would have transferred, it won the Olivier Award for best revival and notched a stunning review from Ben Brantley to boot.

That Roundabout revival was one of the worst productions I have ever seen.

Love the casting and feel like the Booth is a good fit theater wise.
It has to be better than the Roundabout revival.
But we got to see Ben Daniels and Benjamin Walker nekkid. Win some, lose some, am I right?
Janet McTeer was sensational in it, one of her finest performances.
I will travel to NYC to see this - gonna plan a whole trip around it
I love this casting (would've loved Dominic West even more) but I just don't think I could sit through this play again. The Roundabout revival 10 years ago or so was one of the worst things I've ever sat through.
There goes the rumor that DEH will open at the Booth this Fall (That never made any sense to me anyway...)
I was one of the few people who actually liked the last revival and thought Laura Linney, though stiff, worked in the role. I just really like the play, and honestly who doesn't love the thing that was the inspiration for Cruel Intentions?
Holy crap, I have to see that! McTeer in A Doll's House was one of the greatest performances I've ever seen.

Sorry for my ignorance - but what is "DEH"
Dear Evan Hansen
Thank you Cupid! I wonder if Cate Blanchett's new play will move in after Liaisons, as it's slated for Winter 2017.
Michelle Dockery was originally slated to do the London production, but she pulled out when her fiancee became ill. She's now shooting a TV show in North Carolina, and I'd love for her to make her Broadway debut with this. I hope they announce the rest of the cast soon.
Excited for this at the Booth ~ LOVE Janet McTeer
