I saw La Cage tonight and it was better then the first and second time I saw it.
The costumes, the music and the dancing.
The Bird Cage number was great, the can can dancers.
I was moved.
The whole audience gave a standing ovation.
Please don't close this show.
PLEASE.
I really liked the chemistry between Goulet and Beach.
Goulet added something to the role. He was wonderful and he did not forget any of his lines.
La Cage is worth saving.
Go and see it.
PS The best part of the show were the Cagelles they seem to have so much fun. Please save the greatest dancers on Broadway.
BUY TICKETS. WRITE. DO EVERYTHING.
I ADORE THE CAGELLES.
If I could do a split I would.

Corine2, If Marty Richards hasn't put you on the payroll yet, he needs to.
I just really believe in La Cage Aux Folles.
Please go and see it.
For the Cagelles.
PLEASE!
I had so much fun.
I wish I had a body like those Cagelles. Damn bitches make me look fat.

Corine2, I wasn't critizing. I was just being silly. I admire your enthusiasm.
Nice.
Can't wait until sat.
Thanks. I hope Marty reads this.
I want this show to stay. I might not have much power, but I love this show.
Please save La Cage.
PLEASE!!!!!
Audience filled? Or lots of empty seats still?
Oh, God...
Well,
I was in the center of Orchestra and there was only one empty row. The great news it was the row in front of me.
So, I could see the boys.
I was in row S. I hope to go a few more times before June 26.
I love La Cage.
Goulet has some voice.
One empty row explains the closing....
This is annoying.
Well,
If more people go do you think it will extend.
I will learn to do a flip if they extend.
And I am about the worst dancer on this planet.
Munk, don't read it, if it annoys you.

No, I think it's done - no matter how many people go.
I mean, Dracula was blowing at 38% maybe lower. The last week, it made it pretty high.
Sales get distorted when you announce a closing because people who haven't seen the show or who want to see it again will flock to it.
No offense honey,
But Dracula (sucked lemons) and did not win a Tony and A DD Award.
La Cage won both and is incredible.

I can't wait until Saturday! And yet, I'm also a little sad knowing it'll be my last time seeing this show... It can't close...

I really had fun tonight.
I don't pay for tickets often, but it was worth it.
Go and see La Cage!
If you want to laugh, cry and see incredible dancing and costumes La Cage is for you.
I love Benjamin (Butler/Maid/Diva)
He is incredible as are all of the CAGELLES.
I think my favorite number is the birdcage and can can numbers.

Glad to hear it!
Also glad you had a great night =)
"But Dracula (sucked lemons) and did not win a Tony and A DD Award."
I was making a point you wackjob.
Thanks M Higgins.
T,
La Cage is a great show that needs to be saved.
There was a lot of talent in Dracula (Tom Hewitt did not suck, the show sucked)
But Dracula put my Editor to sleep.
I just found Dracula a pain in the neck.
Pun intended.
With the exception of Andy Pelick's cage dance, this revival was pretty tepid at best, and not a patch on the original production. Let it go, Corine.
M,
The can can number is so much fun.
So is every dance number in the show. You didn't complain when I was lobbying for Gypsy.
I loved that show also.
But La Cage has so much energy, so much heart.
That was just as futile an effort.
Sucks.
Well the press kept it open for a little longer.
Another great show bites the dust.

Class, compare and contrast these two sentences:
"I just really believe in La Cage Aux Folles."
"I don't pay for tickets often, but it was worth it."
Now please write an essay that answers the following questions:
Can "belief" keep a show open? Can the promise of learning how to do a flip help producers pay their bills? Is there a psychological diagnosis for a person with extreme separation anxiety who FREAKS out when a show announces its closing date? How important is it for a person to learn to let go?
Did anyone tell that to Ms. Applegate?
Nope.
All I am saving is I think it would be a shame to close this show. It does not make sense. It just won the Tony for best revivial. The theatre was packed.
I had a blast and I think others will enjoy the incredible spectacle called:
La Cage Aux Folles.
