Oh, you’re talking about the drawings. Out of context this goes in a different direction entirely.

Great read, except she wrote: "While she could swap in a susceptible side of Fanny in “People” or “My Man,”...which isn't in the show, unless they snuck it in for the last 2 weeks. Where are those proof-readers when you need them?
Another small point and her great perception of the people saying how much they liked Beanie and the show. Recently, on another blog, someone asked what was wrong with someone saying "I love you" a lot. The thought that comes to mind is: who are you trying to convince...you or me? Same vibe.

I saw a pair of graphics . The first one was for Lea Michele.(the one above). The second one was for Julie Benko. If someone would find that one, that would be nice.
The other one is posted on the Julie Benko thread.

Yes, I saw that. Thanks. I posted this next question before, but no one actually answered it. What is the rehearsal process for someone like Lea Michele going into Funny Girl on Sept. 8th?. I'm genuinely curious as to how that happens.

Anyway, the guy said that Beanie suffered some sort of vocal damage when she was 9 or 10 and had to relearn how to talk and sing. He said she is probably "being careful" with her vocal choices for fear of damaging her voice again."

She suffered vocal damage when she was a child and had to “relearn” how to talk and sing, is fearful of damaging her voice again but agreed to star in a Broadway musical that requires her to sing a score that requires a vocal powerhouse 8 shows a week?
This doesn’t add up. At all.

Really Lea? You can’t do your own interpretation? She’s literally doing Streisand’s version - inflections and all. I hope she finds her own and doesn’t do Streisand’s versions of the FUNNY GIRL score once she’s on stage. "
I’m thinking after Beanie’s route piano bar delivery from the Funny Girl Vocal Selections, any interpretation would be welcomed. Sadly even if Streisand returned nothing will save the clunky musical that surrounds some of Bab’s greatest hits.
A fun clip where Amber Ardolino asks for Jane Lynch's opinion, but gets Sue Sylvester's:

Penna2 wonders:
"So nice to see Lea and Julie (on her thread) getting their own Fanny drawings. Anyone know what they are doing with the marquee?"
Most likely, they're draping a shroud over it.

Not only that she declined an alternate and insisted on doing all 8 shows. We almost got Michaela Diamond Fanny 2 nights a week but Beanie (allegedly) didn't want to share the spotlight
Corrected.

Can't speak to this show specifically, but: For most replacements, they will primarily rehearse with the Associate Director/Choreo, Stage Manager, music team, and understudies in a rehearsal room, then have a put-in with the full company a few days before they begin. Lea will probably also work with Ramin in some rehearsals, too.
What we don't know is Michael Mayer's involvement with rehearsing Lea, or if they are also using this as an opportunity to change other aspects of the show, which might require further rehearsal & tech time. Many unknowns, and each replacement's put-in process can be a little different.

"When Beanie Feldstein was 9, she woke up one morning to find she could no longer speak. She’d developed nodules on her vocal cords, a condition that could be fixed only through daily speech therapy and singing lessons. The health scare made her realize that she wanted to become an actress: If she was putting in so much work to fix her voice, she wanted it to pay off."

Wouldn't it be great if they ditched Harvey's terrible rewrite and just did the original Isabel Leonard book. Especially Act 2. Possibly just keeping the bit that leads into Ramin's solo? As mediocre as the original book is it must have adequately provided a showcase for those songs. Her screenplay was not half bad.

I honestly don't think FG's book can be fixed. Dreamgirls has the same problem, but there, it can be obscured by staging and/or pyrotechnics.
Or with actors who can sing the score.

"HAND IN HAND" Album: Julie Benko & Jason Yeager (EPK) promo to her new album. She does People on the album and gives a taste of it here. Not surprised at how lovely the song sounds when she does it as Fanny in the show.
Jason Yeager is also Julie’s husband.

Yes, he jokes on the video that his biggest claim to fame is being Julie Benko's husband. The concept of the album was developed during Covid, which also convinced them to get married! Julie plays clarinet and flute and her "body" on the album. Jason plays violin as well as what seems to be all piano-like instruments! A talented couple.
