This girl would sell her soul to the devil to play this part. Damn.
I know it's not real, but that picture scared the living crap out of me when I first saw it, without any context.
I think my favorite part are the expressions of the guys on the ladders. LOL.

I saw this and it made me want to gag.
I don't know what's uglier - That logo design or that smug look on that nasty girl's face.
I agree that the artwork leaves a lot to be desired, but I'm still beyond excited for this!!
It wouldn't surprise me if they tried opening a revival of the show with her in it because of this. I hope it doesn't happen... or at least with someone else.
If you look closely she is photoshopped into that picture. Notice that she is more colorfully vibrant than anyone else in the picture. You can really see it around her knees.

they are doing this to get back at all the "evil" board members who despise her on bww...
they want to take away your sanity...and play with your emotions...
so far i'd say they were succeeding...
i "love" the way the marquee reads: 'funny girl - the musical'
as opposed to: 'funny girl - the board game?', 'funny girl - the mini-series?', 'funny girl - the comic book'...it's redundant, everyone knows 'funny girl' is a musical.
She's definitely not photoshopped into the picture. http://www.justjaredjr.com/2013/09/09/lea-michele-pink-coat-on-glee-nyc-set/

Of course she is photo shopped-she'd never pose on the street where the commoners could ask her for an autograph or photo.

I'm curious when that was taken. I know we've had some slightly cooler temps the past week or so, but have people really already started breaking out the chunky scarves and sweaters?
The marquee was being put up this morning. I know that for sure.
As Zepka says,it wouldnt surprise me if they mount a revival with her in it off the bakc of the tv show.
They did it in London with the Sound of Music replacement cast. Summer Strallen went into Hollyoaks (teen soap opera) for a few months playing a wanna actress who ends up getting the lead in the west end production. She then left the show and took over the role for real.
Its a great marketing move
In the age of overusing photo shop, I am unsure why they even bother to put up a marquee-just digitally put it in.

*Wouldn't her knees be "colorfully vibrant" after auditions for that part?

It would not surprise me that they might mount a revival for her after Glee is done.
They could certainly get the backing needed with her name attached.
If nothing else it would big box office.
Sorry, she would not be a big enough box office draw by herself. Teenage girls in their thespian troupes only have so much of their parent's disposable incomes.
Any draw Lea Michele's name would provide at the box office for a proposed revival would be completely diminished by the disastrous critical reception she'd receive when actually performing the role.
FUNNY GIRL requires a vivacious performer with a huge personality and (most importantly) an inherently unique and specific comedic sensibility. The emotional range and depth that the material demands is enormous, and someone like Michele could not be less qualified. Though she and her devout followers seem to think otherwise, having a pronounced nose, a high belt, and a big ego are not the only necessary prerequisites for a role of this magnitude.
Well, if you like the word art feature in Microsoft Word...
The angle of the text seems like a slight homage to the original artwork. I think it's cute. Simple, but cute. I still don't support Lea in the role though.
Well, Gee Whiz? Now that "Smash" is gone, maybe we can take Joe Gillis' advice from "Sunset Blvd" and see "how bad bad writing can be..." "Glee" really is not the show it started out as now but at least somebody/Fox/any tv network is keeping theater people and all their hard work visible. (It's just shocking to hear Jerome Robbins or Matthew Bourne's name or ballet/dance references mentioned on some episode of "Dance Moms". It makes me wonder, does the audience understand?

Never ceases to amaze me how many people are all about bashing someone they don't like, but if someone else has a negative opinion of someone they do happen to be a fan of, that's horrible.
Anyway... I've never seen Funny Girl, which I should probably do something about someday. I've also never seen Lea Michele in anything besides Glee, nor do I know anything about her personally, but the amount of snark in this post is almost nauseating.
If Rachel Berry does get the role, I hope she gets slushied on her entrance.
^That would actually be a perfect ending for the show. They should hire you as a writter.
They'd never do that. I might actually bring a sense of humor, sensible character development and linear storytelling to the show.
And that goes against every single thing Ryan Murphy stands for.
