No doubt Lea is a star. But she isn’t giving a star turning performance. This year is interesting in that there aren’t any showy roles. Also, assuming Kristen doesn’t get nominated, this will be all first time nominees in the lead actress category. Seems like Caissie has the edge over the other presumptive nominees being in a critically acclaimed show with a solid performance AND being consistently working hard on Broadway for 20 years.

Assuming Bean goes lead for The Lost Boys.

I generally like Lea as a performer, but she definitely does not deserve a Tony for this role.

What a pitiful display of characterlessness.
How on earth are you able to get through the day?

Are you under the illusion that the Tony Award for an actress has anything to do with what I love in politics? Bless your heart.

Are you STILL under the illusion that liking your own posts immediately after posting them makes them any more valuable? Talk about pitiful.
Back to the topic, sounds like you have Lea Michele Derangement Syndrome! 🤡

Honestly I'm not convinced Lea is getting nominated, like I certainly think it's possible but by no means a guarantee. I think Caissie Levy and Marla Mindelle are locks for noms (and my assumption is the win will go to either of them), followed by Shoshana Bean and Jessica Vosk. And then the last slot could go Lea Michele or Sara Chase or Christiani Pitts. Lea in particular is hampered by a terrible book that does nothing to really help her out in terms of crafting character, so the parts where she shines really are just the big songs. Though I think the good will from Funny Girl could push her over into getting that nom, especially since she seems to be on the campaign trail already, but based on performance alone I personally would not consider it a Tony winning performance.

There is a surge for Christianni Pitts from Two Strangers. She's half of a great show with a bigger role and more stage time than these women. I would not counter her out to not surprise.
