I just want to share this to Lea Salonga fans and those who appreciate simple, well-written songs. I just found this online. It is a clip of her actual wedding when she SINGS (not recites) her vows to her emotional groom. It is so touching. Here are the words, and below is the link to the clip (if the link does not work, go to Youtube.com and type Lea Salonga Two Words).
Two Words
In a while, in a word
Every moment now returns
For a while, seen or heard
How each memory softly burns
Facing you who brings me new tomorrows
I thank God for yesterdays
How they led me to this very hour
How they led me to this place
Every touch, every smile
You have given me and cared
Keep in heart always I’ll
Now be treasuring everywhere
And if life should come to just one question
Do I hold each moment true?
No trace of sadness
Always with gladness
I do.
Now a song that speaks to now and ever
Beckons me to someone new
Unexpected, unexplored, unseen
Filled with promise, coming true
In a while, in a word
You and I forever changed
Love so clear, never blurred
Has me feeling wondrous, strange
And if life should come to just one question
Do I face each moment true?
No trace of sadness
Always with gladness
I do.

May I add that Lea sounds as BEAUTIFUL as she looks. Hers is the voice of an angel!
It's a beautiful clip, but there are clear rules regarding Youtube. I suggest you take off the link just in case.
Like what I posted in the "Best performer to ever grace on Broadway" thread, Lea Salonga has perfect pitch and crystal clear voice. And that song was sung live, and to sing it perfectly on her own wedding sounding like that...wow. I hope that beautiful original song gets released in the US.
I went to opening night of Miss Saigon what a fun time it was she is wonderful

Did she write that???
Lea Salonga didn't write the song. "Two Words" was composed by a famous Filipino artist - Louie Ocampo and the music was arranged by her brother, Gerard Salonga. From what I've read, she is coming out with a new recording this year so, I hope she includes this song in the album. There is another "video" out there where she emotionally sings the complete song in a concert.
I've heard she's making an album to be released next year. i wish this song is included and hopefully will be released in US and Canada.

Freaky. Just plain freaky and egocentric. To turn wedding into a spectacle that draws attention to how talented, wonderful and touching she is, denigrates the wedding ceremony. What ever happened to humility?
This is sooo beautiful Thank you for sharing *sniffs happy tears* Gotta love Lea.
It is anything BUT "freaky and egocentric!" You are cynical and really stupid, "ifyoubelieve." It is one if not the happiest and most special moments of Lea's life. How better to express how you feel and say your vows than in a way you do best. When words are sung, they take on meanings far beyond that which is literal. Also, it made the event unique. How many do you know have done that before? She did not make a spectacle of her wedding. She wanted to share it with the Filipinos who have loved and supported her throughout her career. Obviously, she cannot invite them all, so recording the event and showing it to us was her sincere way of showing her appreciation.

ifyoubelieve: "What ever happened to humility?"
Humility also means not to judge other people.

who are you to judge salonga's intention in singing her wedding vows?
She totally stole my idea! I had plans to write/compose/sing my own wedding vows when and if I got married.
Good for her, though!
As touching as that is, we are not supposed to link to YouTube.

"who are you to judge Salonga's intention in singing her wedding vows"?
Um, intention implied something that is done in the future. Intention also takes the preposition "to" not the adverb "in".
Salonga intended to sing her vows and she did. Good for her. I still find it creepy and slightly masturbatory. But that's just me.

Of course she did. Because she knows that all those people "who have loved and supported her throughout her career" will buy the recording and what better publicity stunt than to sing at your wedding. She's already proven herself to be mercenary in the past -- this sounds pretty calculated.
Two things. One is there is nothing wrong with youtube. Believe it or not they do have a way to block out things that are illeagle. But, it is not as good a set up as google video. Youtube lets you say weather or not something should be up there. Google video decides for itself. If you like a video on youtube and it is illeagle your gonna say its fine keep it and they will.
Now, Ifyoubelive, How is singing your wedding vows "Masturbatory."
Also another thing for you. And i say this VERY scarcastically. God forbid if someone should not do EVERYTHING that is in the bible.

Do you honestly think her family and friends thought it was freaky? Seriously you have problems.
P.S. Didn't her husband sing too?

Two things for you, dear: Before you attempt your hand at sarcasm, learn to spell. Work on punctuation might also help.

Before you attempt your hand at sarcasm, learn to spell.
Advice to you:
"Weather" and "whether" aren't the same word, either.
was this directed to me or ifyobelieve? Cus i didn't use eiather of those two words.
winston89: I'm afraid you did.
CASE IN POINT:
"Youtube lets you say weather or not something should be up there."
LizzieCurry: ifyoubelieve was simply quoting winston89.
Oh, Sorry bout that. I didn't realize. I guess that's what I get for writing on the boards during class.
But, Ifyoubelieve. I REALLY don't think you should get up in arms just because you hear someone doing something that you wouldn't see in the bible.
