Well, with all due respect, Lea was on the short-lived ABC TV comedy THE MAYOR and my friends who worked on that show still have horror stories about her during those few months they filmed in 2017. So much so that even her co-star Yvette Nicole Brown was one to speak up during that infamous Twitter expose on Lea.
My comment was a fact. So there is no "due respect" involved.

I did say it was possible, maybe not probable, lol. I would revisit Funny Girl myself because I also missed Ramin. But she will definitely be under the microscope and her actions will determine her future in the industry.

Quick Google search tells that Yvette Nicole Brown did in fact defend Lea and said there was nothing but love among the crew members.

A quick Google search most definitely does not tell that. Yvette responded to Samantha Ware's original tweet with "I felt every one of those capital letters." She never said a word about Lea or her experience on The Mayor. However, she did say that she never encountered racism on the set of Community.

So basically it was a sympathy statement from Yvette, and she didn't imply she experienced the same with Lea. Hearsay is not an evidence.

Bro, that statement from Yvette was regarding the NBC series COMMUNITY. She worked with Lea on the ABC series THE MAYOR. Reading is fundamental as is comprehension. Geez. At least get your facts correct when you try to correct my a**.
“What? Someone threatening to take a dump in my wig?” Brown replied to the tweet, with the hashtag #CrewIsLife. “Naw, that never happened on Community. That would never happen on Community. We were and are a family who love and support each other to this day. Our crew were amazing too.”

I'm not saying that it proves anything, just that your statement about defending Lea and speaking positively about her experience on The Mayor is totally inaccurate.

Michelle looks literally nothing like the Fanny Brice. Pictures have been taken of Benko where she does."
Benko is Brice. Lea seems to want to be Babs - doesn't mean she won't get the gig. Just don't think an announcement for the new lead is going to be made 3 months before she takes over, if she takes over. Still have to sell tickets for Beanie. The Gawker article seems to have died as quickly as the last one floating around a month or so ago.
It is incomprehensible to me that people lack the grace to continue to hate anyone and in by doing so continue to punish them for the "sins of the past".
Many do bad things in life that but that doesn't necessarily make them a bad person.
However, I do believe people evolve and people do have the capacity to grow and to change. I also believe in redemption.
Lea Michele is older now, perhaps wiser, a married woman and a mother. She is in a completely different place in her life now and I am willing to believe and give her the benefit of the doubt that she has taken accountability and the time to make mends for the things she may have done in her past.

What you say is very true, and I agree with you. As the 'audience' who have only heard - and not experienced - her past behavior, we should move on.
However, if it's true she hurt and mistreated many of her colleagues on the way to where she is now, it's probably much harder for those actors, actresses, directors, make-up artists, etc. to forgive and forget that she made their lives a living hell. And they are the ones who will keep reminding us going forward (and they have every right to do so, IMO). They may each forgive, but they won't ever allow us to forget.
IF it’s true? Where ya been, bro?! Her behavior is well documented from former colleagues on both Broadway and TV projects. AND she herself has apologized which validates her owning her bad behavior. IF?! Dude…
“I apologize for my behavior and for any pain which I have caused,” Michele posted in a lengthy statement on Instagram. “One of the most important lessons of the last few weeks is that we need to take the time to listen and learn about other people’s perspectives and any role we have played or anything we can do to help address the injustices that they face.”

So there you have it. She's acknowledged her role in the conflicts that she has been a part of. I don't understand what people are expecting of her beyond that.
At the end of the day those grievances are between her and those she had the conflicts with.
It's their business to settle - not the world's.
It's been how many years since all of these transgressions transpired? How is it relevant to anything that is going on today?
Looking through rearview mirrors is not a very healthy way to live.
Letting things go. Moving forward. Forgiveness. These things do exist for a reason.
Lucky for Michele, most of the world have no idea about her backstage antics. Or, if they do, don't care. I remember telling people about her Spring Awakening behavior at the height of Glee and truly no one cared. I think the real thing going against her is the narrative that her star has faded. That's why I think if it's offered, she'll take it: it's a great role for a comeback!
Also want to add again, I’m Team Lea so I’m hoping she joins the show. The backlash on her work ethics was within the entertainment industry. The majority of mainstream America has zero knowledge of that Twitter bit nor cares. Lea’s career was affected as many do not want to work with her. Even Ryan Murphy cut ties with her which is why she was never part of his repertory of actors, post-GLEE. He didn’t even bother to renew his rights to a FUNNY GIRL revival, which he had intentions of producing for Lea to star. IF indeed she joins this FUNNY GIRL revival, there will definitely be more than a standard contract and insurance involved.

Kinda doubt it's only known in the entertainment industry since it came to light as a result of of Naya Rivera's tragic death, and an explosion of posts from Glee costars accusing Michele of racist behavior--and had a crossover tie to the Black Lives Matter movement. Those comments crossed a lot of boundaries.
No, not many people know about her behavior when she was a child in Ragtime or or later in Spring Awakening. They may not know she referred to people in the background on screen on Glee as cockroaches. But the racist allegations were strong, very widely covered and reached a group far beyond Broadway aficionados
Will it hurt the Funny Girl box office? Impossible to say.

Ryan Murphy cast Lea Michele in his first post-Glee project, Scream Queens. She was in both seasons of the show. He also officiated her wedding in 2019. He has not commented on the controversy, but there is little evidence to support the idea that he cut ties with her.

I don't think most of the public knows or cares about Michele's past actions. Not saying that's right, but just based on my personal conversations, most people just have fond memories of her on Glee.

Best Actress in a Musical 1970 Winner Lauren Bacall
She sang like a fog horn, but was wonderful when I saw her. And she won the Tony!

Great actress but not a singer. Lucky you seeing her performance - wasn't even born yet! LOL

Bacall is fabulous in many classic films, but she reaches the apex in the 1981 "The Fan."
Highly recommended.
HEARTS, NOT DIAMONDS.
I'VE HAD ENOUGH CHAMPAGNE.
