Yea, as I was walking out to get to the stage door I heard the curtain rise, I got excited expecting some kind of pleasant surprise only to see a bare stage. I got a cold chill through my body.
Now that I think about it when I first saw the show in July 2007 the same thing happened, but it took a good 20 minutes to get to stage level from the balcony so by then it was just weird, especially being that Laura Bell Bundy and Chico(Bruiser) were on the stage, on closing night the curtain just went up really quick!

Ohhh... and behind Richard at the stage door you can see the teenie bopper legally blonde singers.... everyone at the stage door knows who they are.

At one point, a guy next to me shouted, "You're the reason the show is closing!!!" A lot of people were cracking up, lol. I don't think they heard it, though...

I must say though they didn't start the singing and did get annoyed when other people wouldn't stop. They were very fun to be by though when a performer came and the girls (and boy) quoted a line from the show and made the performer laugh.

I'd take a guess that Brooke was already a hugely successful fitness queen and we saw her journey through the trial. The other characters, well I took some of their paths in life to show how they all touched eachother and helped in finding their way together? Just grasping, I know!

I hate to break it to all of you, but after every performance of LB I have seen, the curtain always go up to reveal a bare stage before I have left the theatre.
Nothing sad or sentimental about that happening at the final show.
