I tried to get SR for both performances today, but neither sold out. I found it a little odd that it hasn't sold out it's first week being Disney and all...
There were quite a few seats open in the orchestra tonight (I should have moved into one of them because I had the most annoying little boy behind me). I don't know how full the mezz was, but it definately wasn't sold out.
So they sell the tickets day of then? If I went for a Sunday matinee in early June, could I expect to get standing room or do you think I'll have to buy full price tickets?
Yes, LITTLE MERMAID now has student rush. Tickets are $26.50 each and they go onsale when the box office opens each morning. I rushed this past Wednesday for the evening show and got a ticket in row D of the Orchestra on the left side. As of now, it's a pretty easy rush. I arrived at a few minutes before 10am and although there was a line of about 10 people already, only one of them bought student rush seats.
According to Playbill.com, the rush tickets are only for Tuesday-Thursday. Is this still correct or are there rush tickets for every Little Mermaid performance?
Just an update on the Little Mermaid rush - I got there about 9 am and was first in line. People didn't really show up until after 9:30, and even then there were not that many people.
It seemed they sold the front row for students today. I don't know if they will continue selling front row, because I have heard reports of people getting whatever was left. Anyways, I was in seat A101. Some seats on the left and right sides of Row A were empty, so I bet they didn't sell all the rush tickets.
This should be an easy show to rush for now. I'm wondering how the situation will be once school lets out for other students.

Anyone rush this show recently? I am heading to the city later this week and wondered what time I should try for. Unfortunately, I will not be arriving until 12 noonish, do you think I may have a chance at the box office for Wed Eve rush tix a few hours after box office open? I also have the option of Thurs and then I can get there as early as needed.
Despite the reviews, I still want to see the show for myself.
I went in the beginning of June. Walked over after losing In the Heights lotto (at about 6:15) and was still able to get tickets. You should be fine at noon.

yes student rush is for actual seats...and I believe you can get them on fri., sat., and sun. as well; despite what people said above. Can anyone verify that?
I ended up with rush seats on a Friday after being told no on a Thursday (this was the weekend of July 25), so yes they sell 'em if they got 'em on other days. My friend and I ended up with two seats in the last row of Orch center.

YES. I looked at the playbill website that had the SRO/Rush Policies for the different shows, and it said TLM only had it on Tues-Thurs. I got to the Lunt on Saturday at about 1:00 and kind of shot in the dark asked if they did a student rush and he said yes. Showed him my id, and got a seat in the 11th row center orchestra for $30 for the 2:00 show!!
I was wondering if anyone could provide more concrete details about rush?
Is it just whatever they happen to have or are they setting seats aside for it now? I've heard of people getting front row, so I was wondering if they are starting to make allotments specifically for rush.
Any details would be greatly appreciated!
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
