These pics are from Little Mermaid ~Broadway~ Blog. They are inspirations for the Broadway show.

a) You are so kidding.
b) How is she going to rollerskate in that?
c) If every character in this ends up looking like Audrey II, I'll laugh my ass off.
Honey, these aren't inspirations for the Broadway production - somebody got in a time machine and took pictures of what the show is going to look like when they do it at the Bucks County Playhouse in 2014...
I think the costumes at MGM look better than that
Hah...those are hilarious. And I assure you the costumes on Broadway are NOT going to look like that. I can't see Tsypin going through a sequin phase for the sets.

Hahaha, MB, I love it!
I sincerely hope Jacob's wrong... why squander the promise of the demo? Every production choice just seems so wrong to me.

The key word on the blog is POSSIBLE inspirations for the Broadway show. Those pics are from a dopey adaptation done in Brazil. If the Broadway production looks ANYTHING like that, I will personal secure two pounds of pot to be guaranteed a retooling that I can sneer at with pride. Unlike this where I would just say WTF*CK????? and puke.
Or maybe it will just be good. And maybe the Tony committee will realize it was stupid to give Idina Menzel the Tony over Tonya Pinkins.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
I like the first picture of the design of Ariel. I actually CAN imagine that on skates. Atleast it isn't a puppet like in "Lion King"!! The pictures after the one I mentioned are inspirations that they have used from Brazil.
Oh my.
It's not official about the skates, is it? I think that idea is ridiculous. I hope it was just a rumor that will die off soon.
Wouldn't the most logical and natural inspiration for the costumes be the movie?
To me, those are cheap-looking, just different enough so that we don't get sued, imitations of the movie.
Sorry, but I doubt the costumes will look anything like that. I'm not saying anything concerning the content of Disney shows, but I think it's safe to say that, as far as spectacle and asthetics go, they rarely dissapoint.

It dosen't say where that first pic comes from, that may just be something the webmaster made or found and posted.
I could actually live with that one.
Again, POSSIBLE inspiration. And by possible I think they mean, "If it sucks, it could be worse."

Sadly, I can see that happening. God, stupid people get on my nerves.
Ooh! It's time for my very first <*head**desk*>

George Tyspn works with scale and he wouldn't do sequins because I love the costumes hate the set.
Please tell me those pics are someone's idea of a joke...
It looks like a production of a 5th grade play.

Those pictures are a joke, the roller skates thing is not true, just a rumor from BWW.
Or is it?
Let's hope they don't take these "inspirations" too literally.
I'm pretty scared. I don't know if I'd go see it or not. We have the cartoon...isn't that enough?
First of all, you are referring to a fan blog - I repeat, a FAN BLOG lol
Second, "inspirations" I believe is at best, wishful thinking by the blogger.
Those are pictures from a foreign production that has nothing to do with Disney.
Any one of us could create costumes, or find some random production of the little mermaid (hans christian andersons original or some summer camp production version of Disney's) and post pictures and write they are possible "ispirations"
Perspective people... :)
In the pictures posted it doesn't look like the actress has any legs. (That is, she cant walk. All I see is a tail.) I wonder how she gets around?
She gets around like a hooker on OBT.
