wow. just: wow. (not in a good way)
Don't be hatin'... I love Results! Pet Shop Boys + Liza = Gaygasm.
It wasn't a sick joke. It was actually very popular (I think).
I saw her perform this in concert at Radio City many, many years ago. It's beyond bizarre.
I thought it was some fan remix, but this is proof...

Jesus hates when people misspell losing.
And yeah, it's no secret that she recorded this song with the Pet Shop Boys.
It disappoints me that this post isn't about her brain falling out of her head because that's the only way she could loose her mind.
I really like the album (RESULTS). It makes me think of being back in college. The whole thing is great, especially "Love Pains", "Don't Drop Bombs", and "Twist in My Sobriety".

This is one my favorite albums. Liza excellent voice mixed with Sondheim & the Pet Shop boys what can get better than that. A once in a lifetime treat. Even the single got some radio play back than.
It was a big hit for her, especially in Europe, but I admit: It hasn't aged well.
This and her coke-fueled "Some People" did not really make the case that she should be considered for her dramatic singing roles:

PJ, I don't think that "Some People" is as coke fueled as the one from the 80s. It may or may not be on YouTube, but it was from her New Orleans concert.
Oops--I thought I was linking the New Orleans performance! I still have the laserdisc. I put it on when I need an energy boost
I meant Coca-Cola, of course!
I confess to liking that album. I love the Pet Shop Boys.
And when you compare it to Merman's disco album it's nearly classic.
"People are just discovering this????"
Scary, huh?
An entirely new generation is now able to type on a computer.
I love "Results". I still listen to it. Actualy just bought in online a few years ago since my cassette is worn out! "Don't Drop Bombs" is my favorite. We played it a lot when it first came out. A couple of dance clubs I went to back in the 80's played "Don't Drop Bombs" every once in a while. It's a classic album in my opinion.
not a sick joke. A few extra minutes research would tell you what an enormous hit she had with this (especially in Europe)so lots of people liked it including me. The single an the album were enormous sellers.
It may be of its time but it is neither sick nor a joke

thank you keithp
for putting those words i was feeling in this link. Those songs ,the album, the entire period have such wonderful memories of a time not so long ago filled with fun.
Liza's version of 'Love Games' is fabulous - I always want to dance to it. The 'Results' album was the first vinyl record (ask your grandparents!) I digitised to play in iTunes.
LOL Uncageg...I had it on a cassette too.

The "Results" project was a dance music fan's wet dream, especially if you loved Liza & The Pet Shop Boys. The entire album is great. It was hugley successful In the US..since every DJ Remix Service of the time (Ultimix, Hot Tracks, Razormaid etc.) did their own remixes of many of the songs and was released to the clubs. The album was originally released in the 1989 with vinyl remixes released through end of 1990. If there is a DollarTree ($1.00 store) near you, they have for sale brand new sealed cds of "Say Liza". Which oddly enough contains the 12 inch versions of Love Pains, Losing Mt Mind and Don't Drop Bombs.
What about the PSB saying..."it's Liza with a z, not Lisa with an s, cause Lisa with an s goes ssss not zzzz?"
Love that Gator!
