Long time posters who no longer post

God I miss the Margo days. I joined because I loved Margo's posts and a number of people who sadly no longer post. It was a bit less snarky here and so much more informative and civil. The wealth of information one could find here was amazing. You didn't have to always scroll through some side nastiness to get back to the posts that were on topic. And there seemed to be threads about so many more shows than now. I learned and found out so much about shows off Broadway here. Just my random thoughts.

PalJoey’s posts about Sondheim’s shows were some of my all time favorite posts too.
And although After Eight and I had a love/hate relationship, I’ll be damned if I don’t miss him too.

Miss those two also.

What I miss is actual conversations...and yes, some of those bygone posters participated in that. While I do visit/read here every day, I think I open less than 1/3 of the threads - and obviously - post on even fewer.
If I found a better source for theater info/discourse, I'd be gone as well.

I enjoy your posts even if we don’t always agree (maybe because of it). I hope you don’t leave any time soon.

Agreed on the former; can't say the same for the latter!

PThespian announced he was done with the boards on a Harry Potter spoiler thread, there was a huge discussion about the special effects and what falls under the #KeepTheSecrets.

His review of In My Life is still one of my favorite reviews ever.
Plus I miss after eight , I loved his first preview reviews
I need to add I’m so glad Whizzer never went anywhere

It appears he also deleted his account. He will be missed around here

RIP Margo Channing - I also looked forward to Margo's posts because they were substantive and beautifully written.
I have to echo what others have said - that I only open one or two posts now when I used to check everything new when I first came on board. But the tone and content of social media in general has deteriorated. I don't even bother going on the Off Topic message board at all.
But "I'm Still Here," to quote Sondheim.

Given his position, I'm not surprised.

Because I love to push the envelope, and relished in the downfall of others, I miss the attacks on PhillyPinto (I believe) the account was. It was just so nasty sometimes, but Philly would always defend, defend. I loved it all.

One of my happiest moments was seeing Dame post again a few months ago and me telling Dame that I missed it when he/she punctuated every post with "Hussy!" and then he/she responded to me with "Hussy!".
