The ushers will let you in to purchase merchandise, typically. If it's just a program you are after, there is someone outside the theatre before the show selling them. Shirts and such are only available inside. The programs should be available online soon, also.
Enjoy!

Hahaha.
I ended up at today's matinee. It was great, as usual. Nicolette was on for Felicia, and she was the only weak link. She was good, but I was underwhelmed.
Eric Lajuan Summers is on as Tina Turner for Tracee's entire vacation, he informed me. I don't know how long that is, but it's long enough for them to have new playbills with Angelique listed as Crystal.
Got to go backstage. That was crazy.
I got a program! They're really cute.

Posted: 8/16/06 at 8:49pmOh no, vacations? I know their entire cast is great, but I'm hoping to see as many of the regulars as possible on Saturday. Will Tracee be out then too? Or anyone else I should know about?

Posted: 8/16/06 at 8:52pmI believe that tracee will be out. Poor Eric.

awww, thats soo nice :)
so ive always wondered just how big their backstage area was. like is it really big enough to move or did it seem like it could be cramped at times?

#1161re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.
Posted: 8/16/06 at 9:28pmi was also at the show this afternoon. and LOVED Eric Lajuan Summers as Tina Turner.I was wondering what they were going to do about that. I thought the lady covering Tracee's other roles looked too old to be in that cast. also loved Tina as Julia and was disappointed that Felicia was out, but her understudy was great.

Yankeefan - She volunteered. I would not have asked.
Crazy - Hahah, we probably ran into each other at some point and didn't even know it. Eric was adorable.
Nicolette was good, but... underwheling.

Posted: 8/16/06 at 9:40pmI saw Mamma Mia this afternoon, for the millionth time. It surprised me how much the casting goes for the same "Tina Maddigan" type.

Posted: 8/16/06 at 9:51pmShe was fine in "Let Me Come Home." She did the 4 splits just like Felicia does.

LOL You're not bothering me.
It's not that she was bad, because she wasn't. She just didn't blow me away.

haha, well, I mean, who really could EVER measure up to felicia though? :) I mean, part of what makes felicia so amazing is how amazing she is just as a person, because it comes through in her performances, and thats... very, very uncommon haha. I'm sure nicolette's great though!

Posted: 8/16/06 at 11:41pmI was walking past the Hirschfeld and bought a 'Wedding Singer' program. Lots of wonderful photos. They also printed Linda's note to Robbie, and there's fun facts about the 1980s and a glossary to period slang. (And one of the spreads is titled 'Right on Time.) ... But did anyone else notice that the cover and back of the program are on some thicker cardboard (instead of glossy)? And the insert, which lists the current cast, isn't printed on nice glossy paper, but simply Xeroxed?
