Posted: 1/19/13 at 9:45pmMUCH better. The show doesn't look like some graffiti musical now. I have NO idea what was up with that original design.

Posted: 1/20/13 at 2:18amTo me it seems like they're totally banking on Tom Hanks to sell the play. Shouldn't they advertise something about Nora Ephron? She's pretty damn famous. It looks like a bad headshot and some clip art?

Posted: 1/20/13 at 2:14pmI hope that head shot used is at least in tone with his character in the play. It always kind of bothers me when they use a generic shot of the star in the actual artwork (not on signs on the theatre, but the marquee artwork and playbill). For example, I hope he plays a smiley character prone to wearing ties and not, say, a plucky New York homeless man who grants wishes for runaway children in Central Park.

I know!! I kept saying "that poor unfortunate-looking Jessica Chastain. She's SO ugly and homely. No way a man will ever love her with THAT face!"

Here's a photo of the real Mike McAlary, his character in the play, The photo is from the Daily News, after he won a Pulitzer for his coverage of the Abner Louima case. And yes, he was a suit and tie wearer.

Posted: 1/20/13 at 10:49pmI didn't say she was ugly? Just saying why couldn't they pic a different picture. Not her headshot?

Posted: 1/21/13 at 1:23amNo no, I wasn't saying YOU called her ugly. I was just trying to say that she is INSANELY gorgeous and it seems so dumb to have her gorgeous headshot in the artwork for a show where the character is constantly called ugly. It was also what kept me from loving her performance. She was good, but I found it almost laughable whenever a character called her plain looking, no matter what awful wig you put on her.
