Tim Minchin is currently touring in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, which probably explains why he couldn't attend the performance

Oh, I see. I believe the cinema screening was cancelled at the last minute, at least here in the U.S. I'm not sure if it was ever rescheduled.

Well, as per Jordan's post, there are a lot of things worse than the wrong show winning the Tony, but it's probably not that shocking that the American show with the feel-good message edged out the dark, sophisticated British import. Matilda was an A, Kinky was a B+...and I liked Pippin more than either one of them.
Glad at least that they went with Tracy Letts over Tom Hanks, and Patina over Laura, even though she made a lovely Cinderella

I'm so tired of everyone who posts this shlt like they're writing facts that everyone should just know. IN MY OPINION Matilda was a C- and Kinky Boots was an A.
