I would choose Maybe Happy Ending. I saw Our Town and it was not good

Two very different productions. I'd see Our Town, no question.

You can read the play in a couple of hours if you have never experienced it and see the musical. I am convinced that reading Our Town is just as good, if not better, as seeing a production that is only okay, which this is (I saw it and thought it was okay...I ranked it 8th out of 9 shows I saw last week). I have read the play and seen it in a few productions, including the one with Paul Newman. I have not seem the Cromer version. No live production I have seen was as effective as my reading of it, which really did not take long to do.

There will always be new iterations of Our Town (not necessarily on Broadway, of course), but a show like Maybe Happy Ending is not something that comes around often. I haven't seen this version of Our Town, though it is one of my favourite plays, but I saw Maybe Happy Ending, and it was superb.
Absolutely "Maybe Happy Ending" over this particular production of my favorite play, "Our Town".
None! Both terrible. Go to see Water for Elephants or Mattress instead.
Curious as to why only these 2 so many other better new shows to see?

Our Town . It's a wonderful production and Jim Parsons is superb.

For me, I'd absolutely recommend "Maybe Happy Ending." It was a delightful surprise; well written, performed, designed, and staged. "Our Town" is one of my favorite plays but I found the production deeply disappointing.

Maybe Happy Ending was a delightful surprise. Tonight’s audience was really ecstatic in their reaction to the show.

It's the one slot in my upcoming weekend where I rethought my original choice. I have a ticket to Our Town and then realized it would never live up to the Lincoln Center production (when i read that the current revival cut the intermissions and running time...nope). That is when MHE became the "plan B". BTW here is my weekend rundown: Outsiders, Oh Mary, Sunset Blvd., Ragtime, and likely MHE. Any thoughts on Swept Away? Thanks!!
Another vote for Maybe Happy Ending. Saw it for the first time yesterday and was delightfully surprised. There will be other productions of Our Town in the future and MHE is the big question mark on whether it will succeed on Broadway or not. I'm rooting for MHE to succeed.

I've seen MHE and Swept Away (at Arena Stage). I would only recommend Swept Away if you like the Avett Brothers' style of music or simply must see someone in this cast. I was at the first preview of MHE with no expectations but found it very endearing with very good work from Criss and Shen. I can only imagine that it has improved since.
