In an NPR interview today, he mentioned he was planning to get back on the stage sometime this year. Anyone know what it could be? https://www.npr.org/2018/02/20/587375764/actor-michael-stuhlbarg-on-his-approach-to-playing-real-life-characters

Apparently not.
He's quite busy filming JERUSALEM then begins filming SHIRLEY with Elizabeth Moss plus the sequel to CATCH ME IF YOU CAN so if he does find an open slot to do theater is has to be just a few weeks.
I saw him do a workshop of JUNK a few years back. He’s a brilliant stage performer - would love a chance to see him again.

A Catch Me if You Can sequel? I think you mean Call Me By Your Name.
He was attached to a production that he had to pull out of. The role was recast, so unfortunately, it seems that there is nothing currently scheduled :/
Was he replaced by Bobby Cannavale?

Hahaha! YES! The sequel to CALL ME BY YOUR NAME.
I still struggle with still calling it CATCH ME IF YOU CAN. The struggle is so real.
Stuhlbarg was announced for THE CHINESE ROOM at Williamstown Theatre Festival two summers ago, but he withdrew to film CALL ME BY YOUR NAME. Brian F. O’Byrne replaces him.

Man, I would love to see him onstage. I think he is so underrated. He stuck out to me in a tiny guest role on a show about ten years ago and I have loved his work ever since. The Pillowman is one of those shows I would catch if I had time travel abilities, I’ve seen it via naughty recordings, but I wish I hadn’t missed it during its run.
Looks like he'll be back on stage in Socrates at the Public in the spring.

Did anyone here get to see him in Hamlet?
This is so so exciting.
