I think it'll be the Imperial. They'll send Les Mis back on tour after a successful two years on Broadway, and give them the theatre for Spring 2016. Failing that, it'll be the Shubert.

Do you think the Imperial will be big enough/have enough wing space? Also, when should we expect to hear a closing notice?

the imperial. No way its going into the Broadway, and School of Rock will still be playing at the winter Garden unless Andrew wants to move it all to london. But even then, Cats will move it

Do you think it has enough wing space? Seating wise it would be perfect! About 200 seats less than the Prince Edward in London which means that it has a better chance of playing to full capacity. Also, if you are right which I think you are, when should we expect to hear a closing notice for Les Miz?

Sounds about right. From what I've heard, Miss Saigon can pick up and move pretty quickly.

Mister Matt said: "I'm surprised it's closing already. I thought it was selling well and it really is a stunning production. I just hope they recast John or at least redirect pretty much all of his performance. He was a parade of bad performing choices and was hugely distracting."
I hope they restore most of the original lyrics. Most of the changes were amateurish at best and seem to have only been made so they could say they made some changes. If the Shubert has the wing space, I wouldn't count it out. Matilda isn't doing THAT great. It could be closed by the time Miss Saigon is ready to come in. But I'd put my money on the Broadway. I doubt Fiddler on the Roof will last very long.

I love the business of theater. Especially thinking of which shows could go into which theaters. It's fun to imagine the perfect theater for a show.

What show do you think should go into the New Amsterdam after Aladdin? Oh! And where should Frozen go?

Frozen should go into the New Amersterdam after Aladdin. that being said, it should be years and years away. If Aladdin is still making money, they should let it

true. I wish they would decorate the interior of the Minskoff. It is bland but has the potential to be EPIC>

Do people really think Matilda doesn't have that much longer?

Matilda grossed 66% of its potential gross. I think that it does still have time but I am not sure how long. I'd give it a year. I think they will really try to milk the show till it's very end

It's no Lion King. It does weak business when school is in session. Much like Billy Elliot, it has a large cast of children, which has additional costs associated with it (rehearsal time, fight calls, and early children's call time). Also, they are constantly replacing the children in the show, which requires rehearsals. To be honest I'd be surprised if it made it another year (clearly the premium pricing is keeping the show afloat, since based on "off-season" attendance it should have closed last Spring).

Kinky Boots and Matilda are still doing very well though. I think they have another year left at LEAST

yep, all but confirmed. Should be on Broadway this time next year. Too many revivals this season anyways to rush it in.

It's a little early to consider casting for the broadway production, but Aaron Tveit sang Why God Why? at ELSIE this weekend. With his connection to Schonberg through Les Mis, could that be an actual possibility for Chris?
