There's been a few changes/replacements in the ensemble. Out from the Boston cast: Joe Carroll, Natalie Cortez, Brandon Leffler & Daniel Maldonado. Joining the Broadway cast: Yurel Echezarreta. So are they reducing the amount of ensemble members in the show?

How did everyone feel in Boston about the chemistry between Tveit and Olivo? Friends of mine who went thought they didn’t have much chemistry. I really did think they were going to replace Olivo for the transfer I didn’t hear good things about her performance, that may just be the people I’ve talked to though.
Also curious about ACL’s question!

I thought so as well...... until I sat in the balcony for Bette's return to Hello Dolly and realized that it was a terrible match. With the large set pieces of the windmill and the elephant in the house, they would be overpowering to those sitting up there. It's a very slim space. A place with a further back overhang is a better fit so glad they went with what they did.

The chemistry got better towards the end of the Boston run, but I really didn’t have an issue with their chemistry to begin with. The people with an issue with their chemistry were comparing them to Ewan and Nicole from the movie. I only saw the movie once and didn’t care much for the movie so I was open to their interpretations of Satine and Christian.

Their chemistry was fine - the book is the problem. They had very little stage time alone with one another which was a disservice to their characters' relationship.

I think the Hirschfield is the best choice based on what's available. I really think taking the first 3-4 rows out of the mezz will make sight lines better too for the people in the mezzanine"
Is "Schubert" a new theatre on Broadway ... or should we just drop the "c"?
Sorry. Couldn't resist.

IMHO, no chemistry and an age disparity between the leads, but the Boston production was thrilling ... especially in the first act (and despite a bad seat). Will go for fan presale on Wednesday morning and hope to see a final Broadway preview prior to opening night.
I saw the 5th preview and I thought their chemist was fine. It didn't glow like the chemistry does for some other leads but was their 5th time doing it so I I'm sure it's improved since then. In thought Olivo was fantastic but I agree they need to change the some from Firework to something else more dramatic. She sings the song well and I understood the tone but most of the audience didn't it. That was my only issue with the show was that the tone was off st a few points.

So excited - saw it in Boston and had an amazing time. If you’re someone who can stomach tweaks to the original movie, you’ll love it (I can see why purists hated it). I went with someone who hadn’t seen the movie, he loved it as well.
What do people recommend for buying tickets? I’m usually someone who rushes day of so I’m not as familiar with presales... the official website says tickets can be purchased at the box office starting Dec 3. Will a good selection still be available then? I’m thinking that would be a good way to avoid Ticketmaster service fees, and I want a midweek performance since I’m local to NYC, so I’m hoping there’s less demand for those days.
Has anyone gotten their fan presale code yet? Haven't gotten mine yet but not sure if they're not being released until tomorrow morning or what.
I haven’t gotten my code either, BroadwayConcierge. It said in the email I received that “All fans will receive their unique code before 12 PM EST on November 21st.” So I’m guessing the presale codes will be sent out early tomorrow morning.
I still have not received mine, but who else is trying to buy today?! Never done a fan presale before so I'm not totally sure on how the entire process wirks

Nothing here either
Still no code. 2 hours before tickets go out so I'm not panicking yet, but did anyone else receive or not receive their codes?
Still havenl't received it!

Mine just came through :)
Ah just got mine too!!!! As someone who has seen the show and been in the Hirschfield mezzanine, I highly recommend the Mezz for this show! So much to take in, the overhang from the orchestra may block a few small things. Honestly this show is such a powerhouse of entertainment I guess no seat will probably be bad. Super excited here if you couldn't tell

Got my code too just an hour to go.
Seems the lowest price is $99
I've never done a fan pre-sale so don't know what to expect.
Are they good seats? A range of seats?
I like the advice Mike for the MEZZ to take it all in.
