Hi. Just wondering if anyone can help me out with some songs about cabin crew, flying, pilots etc that have a musical theatre origin?
Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks, Kirsty
Hi Kirsty,
A few songs from the great musical Come From Away come to mind:
38 Planes
28 Hours/Wherever We Are
Me and the Sky (my favorite from the show, Ms. Colella was brilliant
38 Planes (reprise)/Somewhere in the Middle of Nowhere
A little outside the box but...
"I Do, I Do In The Sky - Drowsy Chaperone

“Take Off With Us” (from the film ALL THAT JAZZ and also included in FOSSE.)

Take Off and Let's Go Flying WILL ROGERS FOLLIES
look at MY ONE AND ONLY and STEEL PIER as the leading men in both were pilots; the interpolation of i Can't Be Bothered Now in MY ONE AND ONLY orients to aviation.
Jet Set from Catch Me if You Can
Take Off With Us
ALL THAT JAZZ
More about flying passengers than cabin crew, but: "What Do We Do? We Fly!" from DO I HEAR A WALTZ?

Only the Pas de Deux trio ballet was performed in FOSSE. The song and dance number section was not in FOSSE.
This is movie musical rather than musical theater, but my first thought was Cabin Fever from Muppet Treasure Island
