There is no "soundtrack" for next to normal. Sorry.
The cast recording, if that is what you refer to, should be based on the poster from Australia who already had it.
...I'm sorry?...
Will the CAST RECORDING be available on itunes at midnight?
Thanks for correcting me and not answering my question...

I DID answer the question...
The cast recording, if that is what you refer to, should be based on the poster from Australia who already had it.
Actually, jordangirl did answer it. She said it should be available based on a post from someone in Australia who downloaded it once it became April 7th there. I'm not sure how fast US Itunes works, but it is usually pretty quick.
Edit: Oops - jordangirl pointed that out at the same I did :).

Is anyone else having trouble find it on itunes or is it not up yet? Usually it would be up by now with the songs not yet available to purchase.
^I couldn't find it on Itunes when I searched, either. I did find it odd, but I don't use Itunes that often, so am not sure what is the norm when it comes to searching stuff that hasn't been released yet.

It won't be on iTunes until it's ON ITUNES. That only happens for preorders.
soundtrack soundtrack soundtrack!
It's like holding up garlic to a vampire, lol.

^ Wow, you want to strike a chord with us...we'll strike one with you.
Rock of Ages sucks
^ THAT we agree on jazz. :)
wow, you think I care what you or anyone thinks of a show? I'm sorry but I can't take all of this that seriously.
YES> I think it will be available by midnight because if you look at iTunes. Its already there- yet if you click on it...it does not open the page..so hopefully we can buy it by 12 am!
lol, I just love your post, Jay!

I honestly forgot this one was coming out.
Here's a question for you N2N freaks out there...if I haven't seen the show yet but plan to, is it safe to listen to the music without having everything spoiled?
iTunes, sadly has never gotten it. EVERYTHING that's a cast recording is "soundtrack" on there. Idiots.

You seriously expect them to make a seperate genre for cast albums?
What pisses me off more is the brain-dead artist labeling. The Shrek recording is evidence of that. Give me five minutes and IBDB, I'll fix it.
The recording is absolutely beautiful.
I hope Sh-k-Boom gets their second Grammy because of it.
Does anyone know if the CD is going to be available at the theater tomorrow?
honestly I don't think you should listen to the recording before going into the show. Listen to the songs on the wensite yes, but go in unspoiled
Don't think so. Given that Sh-K-Kate said that she's not sure when they'll have the hard copies for shipping, it doesn't sound likely. Seems that little bit of info was in one very early press release and hasn't been mentioned since then.
I do know it will be $35 when it's there. Better to go on and pre-order through sh-k-boom.com or at the theater if you're wanting a hard copy.

Having had a look on the Australian iTunes listings the songs appear to be mis-tagged - all the artist credits get (at least) one song out, if that makes any sense.
20 minutes until this hopefully shows up on UK iTunes. Can't wait - hell, I bought High Fidelity, I'll definitely be buying the recording for a show that's actually pretty good...
(I generally like High Fidelity's score, so if in some sort of horrible coincidence Tom Kitt reads this I'm not slagging off your contribution...)
If you go to the bottom of the home page of iTunes and change the country to Australia, you can search next to normal and the cast recording will come up. I believe you need an address in Australia to buy it, but I am personally enjoying listening to the 30 second clips of each song. Sounds great!
