^The weird vibes in the middle? Right before "And you play till it's perfect...."? That is quite odd.
And how about the opening of Perfect for You? Those definitely aren't the right chords...right?
Yeah, I've already pre-ordered the CD, but I caved and dropped $10 on it on iTunes.

Love it!
The Borders in Downtown Crossing is the one you're talking about, I assume jaystarr? Last I remembered browsing there, there was only a SOUNDTRACK section as well.
Yes. That's the one also the one in the suburbs- Braintree.
Here is it available now:
N2N iTunes $9.99

I have the CD pre-ordered, but I'm so tempted to spend the $10 to get it on iTunes when I get home from work today. The preview clips are amazing.

Just tried to buy it on ITunes this morning, and it's now not available. It says "it is being modified." Do you suppose they are redoing the track artist info to correct it?
^^I hope so. I caved earlier and the artist info is driving me crazy.
But the recording - fantastic! I think I need to get to NYC and see this ASAP...
I miss some of the old songs (I know a lot of them didn't fit in the show anymore, but after all these years, I've come to love them) -- but overall, I think the CD sounds great.

Is there a way to get this cast recording earlier if I hate iTunes and refuse to use it? D:
AH LOVE THIS!
Superboy and the Invisible Girl is on repeat for the moment... AMAZING! Love it!

There was a rumor awhile ago when the release date was first announced that it would be available in the theater beginning tonight. However, that information has disappeared from the articles about it, and the merch girl at the Booth last weekend said that they expected to get them in the theater around opening night.
I pre-ordered from Sh-K Boom at the incredible $16.99 price, which included shipping. The theater is pre-ordering for $25, and will charge $35 when they get them in there.

Superboy and the Invisible Girl is one of my favorites as well. Though I miss a few of the songs they cut, namely Costco. (And if the recording had a bonus track of Anthony Rapp singing "Feeling Electric" - a gal can dream can't she?)

jennamajig - You liked "Costco?" Really?? You are literally the ONLY person I've heard say they miss that song, haha.
^^"Costco" was the reason I got my friend to see the show at 2nd Stage, actually. (I'd given him the "unofficial" recording of the workshop with Rapp and Spanger to listen to). I loved the zaniness of it, if that makes sense. Some humor interjected with a serious matter (her dealing with a manic episode in public).
I'm in the minority, I know. And after listening to the recording, I can see why they took it out (hopefully I will seeing the show in a couple of weeks). But I miss it.
When you see the show, you'll see that the cuts do make sense, in context. But I'm with you -- I loved a lot of them as songs, and will miss them even though I know they don't really fit with the story as what it's become. I liked Costco, too, but I see why it was cut. Same with Feeling Electric, Growing Up Unstable, etc.

price is now 11.99.
^^Wow, I did think $9.99 was pretty cheap for what equals to a double CD set.
I am love love loving this cast recording.

Too bad they cut GROWING UP UNSTABLE. One of the better songs in the show.
After listening to (most) of the album on the train this morning, a few brief comments. The up-tempo songs are great. But there are far too many generic-sounding ballads that probably work better in the context of the show than they do if you're say, looking for driving rock.
jovie, you don't accept PMs.
I love, love, love the recording, it's mind blowing.

Colorthehours, add me to the list of Costco lovers! I wish they could have kept it, but there's not really a place for it now. And I s'pose it flows better without it.
