I don't think they can charge you $11.99 if you purchased for $9.99. Clicking on BUY online is equivalent to signing a charge slip at a vendor.
Costco - Great song that doesn't fit. Love the acoustic version Ripley sang during an interview when the show was in Arlington - it's actually my cell phone's ring tone.

I just got my e-receipt from Itunes, and the album was $9.99.
After listening to the whole thing all the way through, it really is a brilliant cast album. Everyone sounds amazing, love it.
The only way it could be any better would be if there was a tad more dialogue included, I think the only lines I really miss are the birthday/cake bit at the end of "It's Gonna Be Good" and before "He's Not Here" but I'm just nitpicking at this point.
I can see why they left that dialogue out though. It would spoil some things for people just listening to the recording.

Oh, I agree the reason they left that bit of dialogue out is for spoiler issues, but I'm being greedy and want it on there anyways :) It really would be a great part to have on the album

We can't all go to NYC and see this--some of us need that dialogue to know what the heck is going on. :/
Liner notes? Most cast recordings don't come with dialogue!
the only thing that bothers me is Natalie's part in just another day...I liked how it was at Arena...(i do my best to pull off near perfection, just to keep my loving family off my back....some days I think I'm dying, but I'm really only trying not to crash...)

^I really didn't see anything wrong with the 2ST version: "So I do my best to make it all look easy/just to keep my lovely family off my back/and I act like life is bright and life is breezy/and pretend that they're not seriously whack/and somedays I think I'm dying when I'm really only trying not to crack".
I wonder why that one area is giving them so much trouble.
I do like the current version better than Arena, though.

Well, I mean even with liner notes you sometimes miss out on important events. But I don't mean a ton of dialogue, just enough to clue someone in.
Plus a lot of people don't have liner notes for it yet. :/
Broadway.com says the show is two hours and twenty minutes. Is that correct? We only have one hour and twenty-eight minutes of material recorded so I would assume there's a lot of dialogue missing from the cast recording.
i like the one at arena....Natalies part in Just Another Day feel weird to me
Okay, this is a very strange request, but.... I'm wondering if any generous broadwayworld member would be interested in writing a synopsis. (Or pointing one out for me. I looked throughout the internet and can't seem to find a good one.)
It would be so awesome if someone with a lot of free time could say what happens between each song. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this recording, but for some of us who will never make it out to see this show, it would really help to know what each song means in context.
I know it's a weird thing to ask, but if anyone was interested in doing that, I know a lot of people would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance if any brave soul wishes to take this on! (You could even put your masterpiece on Wikipedia.)

Even though I have a test to study for, my obsession is more important at the moment. I'll give it a go...no promises it'll be any good! Maybe I'll just PM it to you since it'll be riddled with spoilers.

I'd love to hear a synopsis, too. If you end up PMing it, could you PM me as well? Thanks!
Well if you're gonna PM it I'd like to read it too.
Sondheim_Geek - Is that interview online? I have to admit, I'd love to hear it (and since I miss "Costco")...
Here is that podcast/interview with Alice:

I had a few people PM for a complete synopsis sometime last week, and I promise I haven't forgotten about it! I'm in tech week for a show right now, so things are nuts. I'll do it ASAP.
But back to the topic of this thread... this cast recording is INCREDIBLE. I can't stop listening to it, and it'll probably be on loop for weeks.
Currently obsessed with Better than Before, but I think Didn't I See This Movie will always be my favorite. Also, Just Another Day sounds a little awkward to me. I'm not sure why.
