Did anyone else read about this and is as upset as I am? Elizabeth plays this role so well and they are putting Nancy in it. I mean she is ok, but no!!! Good news is Elizabeth (Brenda) and husband Scott Wise are having a baby!

Ya gotta go sometime.
the article on playbill.com said she already left. her undersudy has been going on.
Did anyone see the huge arcticle in the NY post today about this? It said Twyla was pissed.
She was not great (ahem!) in Never Gonna Dance. Noah danced rings around her, literally, and had about 10000% more stage presence. But.... I do think her athleticism will serve her well in Movin' Out. Good luck, Nancy!
She is a talented dancer. I am happy she is dancing and not singing. A very talented dancer.
Break a leg Nancy.

newyorkuniq no i didn't see it in the ny post. what exactly did is say. (i'm very curious)
I'm THRILLED----if you haven't noticed Lemenager looks a HELL of a lot younger than Parkinson and is a WONDERFUL dancer---I think I miht run to see the show, now. This, I think is inspired casting; I think I'll believe Lemengaer more than I would Parkinson at playing a role that covers a couple of high schol years in Brenda's life.

Yeah Nancy might look younger but Elizabeth is an amazing dancer. Not to take me wrong Nancy is good too. I saw Nancy in Never Gonna Dance and she seemed like she didn't put that much feeling into it, but she was still pretty good. Anyways Elizabeth will be missed!

I was surprised when I went to Movin' Out this weekend and Karine Plantiff-Bageot was on as Brenda. Not only that, she was in the playbill as Brenda. She's very good, but I just didn't expect it, and I guess this must be why.
Though, did Elizabeth already have the baby? Because she was still in the show not too long ago, and if she was pregnant and being flung around like that, my goodness.

wow i hope she didn't have the baby knowing that. wait actually this is what playbill said. "Award-nominated original star Elizabeth Parkinson has left the Broadway show as she is expecting a child with husband and co-star Scott Wise. Her understudy Karine Plantadit-Bageot has been performing in the lead role." yeah i know someone who went to a saturday matinee and say Karine perform and they said she was pretty good.
