Jon Jon is giving a phenomenal performance and has already developed great chemistry with Jordan. He's a bit of a jokester as Hermes, incorporates some bits in Tagalog. My issue with Lillias' Hermes was that she was removed from the story. Jon Jon is a witness and experiences the emotions with us as he continues to retell the story. Just wow.
Isa was excellent. She did a great job of balancing Solea's anger with the naivety and tenderness that Lola brought. Vocally, she was strong. I had seen her on the Hamilton tour years ago, and her voice has matured very nicely in the last five or so years. I do think her acting is where she truly shines though.
Ani was good. She is sticking to what she knows. It feels a bit out of place with Jordan and Isa belting the sh*t out of the score, and I missed Phillip and Betty's chemistry. However, I think Ani fans will be very pleased with her performance.
Jordan and Phillip were great as usual. Glad to see Jordan's voice is holding up because this is not an easy score to sing the way he does.
The producers of this show really knew who to bring in after the OBC left.
I'm so impressed with how well this show continues to do. Kudos to the producers for figuring it out.
Jordan Fisher has extended his run as Orpheus to September 15.

i was lead to believe by the usual suspects on these boards that Jordan Fisher would be unable to perform consistently and would not last more than a few months with barely-there attendance. woulda ya look at that.

Didn’t see it mentioned in this thread, but in the announcement for Jordan Fisher extending, it also mentioned he is scheduled to be out for must of April. There’s also an alert on SeatGeek for those performances.

I was going to ask, does anyone know who's going on for Orpheus this month?

Brandon Cameron was on for Orpheus when I went this week. He was fantastic.

I believe the understudies are just alternating until he returns.
Does anyone know how long Boykin is scheduled for? We'd really like to see him, just don't know if we can squeeze it in soon. (Im sorry if it here somewhere, but my head started spinning trying to find it.)
It feels almost forbidden to bring up this topic anymore, but I’m going to anyway - does anyone know if Ani DiFranco has been doing the stage door beyond her opening night, when we know she did?
I haven’t been to a stage door since 2018, but I’d make an exception for a chance to meet her after the show. She’s such a hero of mine.
I’m rather shocked to see no one discussing how she’s doing in the run!
Thank you.

From what I've seen online I think it's kind of hit or miss with her at the stagedoor? I don't think she's there all the time, but she does stop occasionally
Thank you ^^^

Saw this yesterday - the current cast is nearly rivaling the OBC in terms of quality, in my opinion. Fisher and Boykin are the definitive Orpheus/Hades for me (no disrespect to the magnificent Patrick Page) and the Brioneses are doing some phenomenal work. The only kind-of weak point for me is DiFranco, who's fine but isn't doing anything too interesting from an acting perspective.
I'm more excited for new Hadestown casts than I am for 70% of new musicals these days... any intel on the next Hermes and Persephone?

Yola is Broadway's new Persephone, starting July 2.
This show is like allergic to boring casting. I have to commend them for almost every choice.
Yola is fantastic. She's going to sound incredible as Persephone.

While I'm not familiar with some of the casting choices after the OBC left, I have heard nothing but good things about the replacements. Agreed - their casting department needs a raise!

Another musician as Persephone! Waiting for Anais to take a swing at it herself ;)

Jon Jon Briones and Isa are both great in their roles. Ani ...not so much but she's bringing the $$$. That's what they care about really. Who do you suggest they get?
