Looks fab to me! Hope Shaiman finally gets his Oscar for this.

Still processing this one. Not really sure what to make of it. But love that LMM is honoring the legacy of Americans doing cringe-y over-the-top cockney accents in Mary Poppins movies... haha

welp I cried a little. It's amazing they keep the 2D animation. This trailer is just magical
I'd be lying if I didn't say I softly gasped when Angela Lansbury appeared.

The music is probably the most questionable thing about this. I wonder if they will reprise any songs from the original.
I wonder why Dame Angela Lansbury was left off the trailer billing...

Maybe there are a couple surprises that they're trying to still keep under wraps, and that's why Lansbury wasn't mentioned... I hope this to be the case for Julie Andrews.
It looks stunning! It's odd they just had her sing a few notes, though -- I get they're trying to say that it's a musical without giving too much away, but either show more or show less!

Well, yes, but she's part of the trailer!
I love that Dick Van Dyke is still so very spry at his age!

The movie poster looks very similar to My Fair Lady’s movie poster. Funny considering the history between the 2 movies.
The animation sequence looks absolutely beautiful.
I feel uncomfortable watching Lin in this trailer. Are you telling me they couldn't find a real Englishman?
Agreed. Im so sick of Americans taking English roles!

Cackling.
I’m shaking at work. I had to fight every part of my body not to scream when Dick van Dyke appeared

Oh for God's sake what is up with this board tosay
re: Angela Lansbury
She is not a major character (doesn't even get a proper name beyond "Balloon Lady". And from previous reports, I believe she only appears in the one sequence/number showcased. I would guess that's why she isn't listed with the main cast in the trailer. Matter of billing.

Because she doesn't need billing!
Julie Andrews will not be in this movie. Don’t get your hopes up.
With that said, MP is my favorite film of all time and I have been skeptical about this entire project.... but man oh man, was that trailer magical. This is going to be the movie event of the year. I cannot wait!

Not sure if you're joking, but it kinda looked like a face/head-replacment CGI job. (or at least it does on my laptop... will watch it HD/big screen later)
FWIW, Ms. Lansbury is on the poster.

Yes, how dare they put a Puerto Rican in WWII London where white people can sing and dance with cartoon animals and fly on bikes! The shame of the movie being unrealistic with that casting alone!

Or countless English and Australian actors playing Americans thus taking roles away from American actors.
Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman, Vivien Leigh, Naomi Watts, literally the entire cast of the TV series NASHVILLE, etc.
I know the early buzz on the film has been very mixed, but I must say that trailer gave me goose bumps.
