It Should Been You was produced in NJ in 2011. The fact that David Hyde Pierce is directing it, probably because his partner of many years, Brian Hargrove, is the lyricist is likely why it has financial backing & why they were able to attract the stars to the project, etc.
6 MORE WEEKS TIL THE TONY NOMINATIONS! yaaaaaaay
It's going to be a showdown between King and I and On the Town for the win.
On the Town doesn't stand a chance. The King and I is going to win

I can't help but think that this season's Tony battle for Best Musical is going to be one of the best in recent memory.
Because Fun Home was eligible for awards such as the Drama Desk and Critics Circle Awards last season, it won't be eligible this year, correct?
That means it's likely to go through the entire award season without winning a "Best Musical" award until the Tonys, where, after Something Rotten or The Visit have won all the precursors, they may overtake it for the big award or Fun Home may still pull off the big win.
I think it makes for an interesting storyline!
i'd say my predictions are pretty accurate
Of course you would think that.
Revival is going to come down to The King and I versus On the Twentieth Century, which I think has a heck of a good chance of winning.
I'd say it's more between King and I and On the Town. No show this whole season has gotten the reviews ON THE TOWN has gotten.
The King and I will win
Quiet, Boy.
lol im 5 years older than that. Bilbo3 just wants on the town to win, but it won't
"lol im 5 years younger than that"
Fixed. Even 14 year olds know how to put a period after every sentence.
oh please
Bilbo are you cute? I wonder what everybody looks like on here
Jeffrey, I think after the reaction from the first few previews, Something Rotten! has a very good shot at a Best Original Score nomination.
I was thinking that too PianoMann. Maybe JRB or Sting will get the boot
Astounding. No periods AND no commas. An industry member for sure.
I at least know how to form sentences. Your last "sentence" is a fragment.
Correct. Just like this: Stop trolling, troll.
Actually "Stop trolling, troll" is a perfectly complete sentence.
I think Fun Home, The Visit, and Something Rotten! are the top three most likely nominees. The Last Ship and Honeymoon in Vegas are definitely in the conversation. Maybe Jason Robert Brown has the edge since Honeymoon is still open?
