Highly recommend this BWW feature:https://youtu.be/DqFvbcl7z_o?si=F2G9Lx4WuXTNrovL"
A stage manger who worked on the tour of Mean Girls as well as Six on Broadway will be replacing Mary Beth Abel. I forget her name.

Any rumors or predictions as to who will be replacing our current North American tour leads when they leave next month??

Saw the show tonight for my roommate’s bday with the new cast. Overall, it was an amazing time! It was my 18th time (give or take)
Alexandra Socha is phenomenal. Not my favorite Glinda but she was great. Doesn’t overplay the jokes, had a lot of heart. Brad Oscar was also really good. My roommate who has seen the show 8 times said he was her favorite wizard. I don’t agree personally but thought he was wonderful ;)
Donna as Morrible was honestly rough. Not much better than Michelle Pawk imo besides the singing. She was missing the camp and DRAMA. Her and nessarose were both honestly weak. It brings me no pleasure to say this as I’ve always worshiped her recordings of A Chorus Line and Company.
Mary Kate was fine. Not much more to say.
Jordan Litz and Jake Peterson continue to be fantastic! I love getting to see them grow in the roles.
I'm looking forward to Lissa and Jennafer hopefully taking over one day as they are my favorite pair I’ve ever seen
Overall a great time!
I am really enjoying Mary Kate Morrissey’s vlog for Broadway.com. Watching the witch sit in the chair and get the green makeup on always fascinates me for some reason. I like watching all the backstage stuff, I haven’t watched one of these vlogs in years, I think since Lesli Margherita in Matilda.

Any ideas on who will replace Mary Kate Morrisey and Alexandra Socha when their contract is up. I personally would love for Christy Altomare to play Glinda at some point. I also think it is about time for Christine Dwyer to come back to the role.

Christine Dwyer was supposed to come back a while ago but then she got covid or something and never got to so I would love it if she got her chance!
Never pictured Christy as Glinda...she might be focused on being a mother right now but she went live last week and said something is coming so it's not out of the realm of possibility!
MK and Alexandra both signed one-year contracts so they'll be in the show until the beginning of March at least.
They need to put the touring witches to Broadway. They are stunning

I think they may be prepping Elphaba (Lauren Samuels?) to take over in the UK after Alexia leaves, but not sure how accurate that is

I would still love Emily Kristen Morris, the former tour standby, to join the Broadway production. She has the following AND the talent.

Lauren is fantastic and seems poised to take over on Broadway.
I also think it could be fun to invite some veteran cast members to do a shorter runs to coincide with Wicked Part 2. Fan favorites like Jessica Vosk, Eden Espinosa, Katie Rose Clarke, Kara Lindsay, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Kathy Fitzgerald, etc etc. It won't happen but if they got some big names for a short run to celebrate the film I would buy a ticket so fast.

A lot of those actors are now far too old for their respective roles

Which would be a fitting tribute to the Wicked movie(s), where the leads are all too old for theirs, no?

Marykate Morrisey, the current Elphaba on Broadway, has announced her final performance will be March 2nd.
Any predictions or hopes as to who could replace her?

Lauren is based in the US now so I doubt that’s true.
It would be wonderful if they transferred over Alexia and Lucy for a stint on Broadway

Have seen around the web in the last hour that it is likely a Black actress. Don’t have a name though, but apparently a bunch of people do.

here’s a lot of buzz around Wicked's casting changes, but nothing’s been confirmed yet. Jennifer DiNoia's departure could mean Stephanie Torns as standby and Carla Stickler as the new understudy. Alyssa Fox might replace Jenny Fellner as Nessarose, but again, it's just speculation. For Teal Wicks and Katie Rose Clarke, Donna Vivino and Chandra Lee Schwartz are possible replacements, though no official word yet. It’ll be exciting to see how it all unfolds!
Realize this question is off-topic, but I don't know where to post it (and don't think it requires a new thread). Was the staging of Defying Gravity, with Elphaba rising up and her dress stretching across the stage inspired by the similar moment in Tom O'Horgan's staging of Jesus Christ Superstar? I realize it isn't impossible for two different directors to come up with the same image, but surely Schwartz attended the Broadway production of JCS (the comparisons between Godspell and his work were being made from day one). Anyone know? Or if they want to pm me so as not to hijack this thread, totally fine. Sorry for the interruption.
