Any ideas or thoughts what the next show would be on broadway. Either revival or new.

A year ago he said he would have a big announcement and nothing came of it.

Because he only has one show running on Broadway right now I would like to see another. In terms of already exisiting shows. I would love a run of Love Never Dies
Or An anniversary production of Joseph. Or a run of Tell me on a Sunday/song and dance.

In a couple years would still love to see Evita with gaga if that would ever happen

I still wish he hadn’t given up on The Master and Margarita. There will be an anniversary production of Joseph at the London Palladium. If that production proves successful I suppose we could see it on Broadway too but I doubt it.

If we’re just dreaming I’d love a revival of Starlight Express but not if he’s going to make a bunch of changes. I’d like to see something closer to the original libretto rather than all the changes that have been implemented over the years.

While not strictly an ALW show, Unmasked is in the new Papermill Playhouse season, so could be eyeing a transfer? The Jesus Christ Superstar tour could also be a possibility, and I think he's mentioned he wants Love Never Dies on Broadway but I'm not sure how well Broadway audiences would take to it, to be honest.

I’d love to see him do a revamped woman in white.

It 100% isn’t going to happen but I would love to see a revival of The Woman in White. I’ve had a soft spot for it since seeing the original London production, and with all the unfortunate cast health issues in both London and NY I don’t think it got a fair chance initially.

We’re probably due a Joseph revival at this point, since it’s been 25 years since the last Broadway revival, but I wouldn’t be too excited for it.

The Palladium JOSEPH should come to Broadway. It's a great family title that people love, and it hasn't been here since 1994. But...

The last Equity (Blankenbuehler) tour just finished in August 2015, so road presenters won't be jumping at yet another Joseph. (It has toured about once every 10 years since the 80s.) So a limited engagement prob couldn't be a tour stop; it would need a full run on Broadway to make any money.

I remember lots of empty seats when I saw the last tour of Joseph and that tour had Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo. I wasn’t familiar with either of them but I assume they were cast to sell tickets. Joseph is one of those shows that is performed in schools and regional theatres so often it probably needs a mega star to sell professionally.

Me too!

I'd also very much like to see Love Never Dies on Broadway, even if only for a limited run. And I really miss Sunset Boulevard, and have always wondered what Stephen Ward was like.

I wonder now is this "big announcement" was never a show but this partnership with Madame Tussauds for an exhibit on his works. Being that it launchs in a little over a month or so, they have to have been working on it for some time now.

I certainly hope not. That would be so anticlimactic

That's an interesting read. Only 3.5 million for Matilda? That's what a play does here in NYC. Interesting.
