ArtsBeat - Next Fall to Broadway
I have never seen it, but I might wanna see it based upon what I have heard of it.

I still just have no desire to see it. But good for the Naked Angels, a really wonderful troupe/company.

Yay! I dragged my feet and missed it off-Broadway. I'm glad to get another opportunity to see it.
I was going to see it off-Broadway last month, but it was sold out. I'm looking forward to finally getting to see it.
Yes! This is amazing news. One of the most moving experiences I've had at the theater. I'm thrilled that it will reach a wider audience. Hoping they keep the original cast intact as much as possible.
F*CKING
AMAZING
NEWS!!!
Absolutely incredible piece.
Next to OLEANNA, this is THE contender for the Best Play 2009/10 Tony (unless RACE has something to say about it).

Won't OLEANNA most likely be considered a revival?
I was just about to say that. It had a year-plus run off-Broadway in 1992. Pretty sure it's being considered a revival, a la LITTLE SHOP.
This will win Best Play.
Period.
it's a masterpiece and I can't wait to see it again (and again and again) on Broadway. HOW FANTASTIC!! I'm thrilled!
I'm glad people are enthusiastic... but before handing it the Best Play Tony, don't forget In the Next Room, Race, Behanding in Spokane, Time Stands Still, and perhaps a few other surprises in store for spring.
I'm probably just excited but I seriously can't imagine anything being better than this show. It was the best play (revival or non, off or on Broadway) that I saw last year which is REALLY saying something.
I really hope this show finds an audience, but I'm very skeptical. Glad it chose a small theater. What great, great news.
Oh ya know, I think you may be right about OLEANNA being considered a revival; but your guess is as good as mine.
Yes, the VIBRATOR PLAY may take us by surprise (but Ive a feeling it will go by way of REASONS TO BE PRETTY). That is, incredible script and performances, but over-looked by the heavy-hitters. SPOKANE will get great press clout but McDonaugh is usually elbowed by more relevant material...
NEXT FALL deals with issues deep to metropolitan values and headlines.
Nevertheless, crazy-good sh*t hitting our stages this season.

I wonder if they'll recast any of the roles.
Oddly enough, part of me hopes they do with relatively bigger names simply and solely for more exposure but the other part of me REALLY hopes they don't because the ensemble they had at PH was literally flawless.
I was extremely disappointed that I wasn't able to see the production this summer. This is wonderful, wonderful news.

OMG. I couldn't see it over the summer because I was home for break. And now I'm going to be abroad in the spring, so I'm going to miss it again.
I actually have a crush on the playwright, Geoffrey Nauffts.
He's one of those actors that works pretty consistantly and you see around New York and see on television but that you never really know his name...at least I didn't until recently.
I have always thought he is so handsome.
My crush aside, I will be excited to see this play when it comes to Broadway. Sounds great.

Good for them! It's a great play, but I'm not sure I'd call it perfect, but I thin it's a good play nonetheless. I hope they redesign it though.
Excellent! Glad to see this piece take on a longer life. I really hope that it finds an audience.
Won't OLEANNA most likely be considered a revival?
The Tony Administration Committee deemed THE AMERICAN PLAN a New Play last season, which is a different route than they have taken in the recent past, with shows like TRANSLATIONS being deemed a revival, which both fall into that same category as OLEANNA -- shows that ran Off-Broadway a while back and have been in the canon for some time.
So if they follow what led them to change their minds for AMERICAN PLAN last season, one would assume that OLEANNA will be deemed a New Play this season.
After missing the off Broadway run I am SO excited to see this!
I'm sure it's no secret how excited I am for this news. I just hope the whole cast can transfer to the Hayes, especially Connie Ray.
In what is shaping up to be the most boring Broadway season in years, this is great news. :)
The spring is NOT boring.
One of the best plays I've seen in a long time. I am so happy for the transfer. I also think this might be a Pulitzer candidate.

I guess I am a pessimist, but I saw Next Fall, really enjoyed it, and as per a ton of really wonderful shows I've seen in smaller houses, I have a hard time imagining it'll be marketable enough to do well on Broadway...unfortunately! I really hope I'm wrong....
