Yeah I know some people hate these threads, but I think they're kinda fun.
So...any ideas?
What are upcoming shows that we know are coming in but haven't yet confirmed a theatre?
M. Butterfly and Once on This Island come to mind.
Once on This Island would be nice. I always like when revivals play the show's original theatre.
Once OTI is almost certainly going into Circle. FWIW I suspect the next tenant at the Booth will be something not on anyone's radar.

My money is on Once on this Island. It would be nice to see it return to its original home. Regarding the Circle in the Square...how long can In Transit run?!
It's a pretty desireable house. I'm sure it will be snatched up quick.

It could be Sweet Charity or The Band's Visit. Smaller theatre for smaller musicals.
The Band's Visit is a smaller show - in terms of attitude - but it has a pretty large cast. I think it would fit better at the Jacobs or something like that.
I feel like Sweet Charity also wanted the Circle in the Square? So who knows what will happen with it.

That's easy: until the landlord wants the theatre and kicks them out. Like several shows in recent years, rich tyros don't get any other message.
Ride the cyclone? Is that aimed for Broadway at all? I know it has a run for Seattle next year.
I agree, Once on this Island would be awesome there. Was Next to Normal the last musical at the Booth?

Perhaps eventually. But considering their run in Seattle, I wouldn't say they were "next for the Booth."
...my bets are on OOTI. Othello for Circle in the Fall, if that transfer happens. Sweet Charity elsewhere.

The fact that it is going to the Circle in the Square is a bit disheartening... while I love the layout of this theater, its so small and most shows cant even utilize all of the seats due to the set. I saw Fun Home there, which won the Tony for Best Musical, and it didn't even last that long. I just feel that its very difficult to keep a show there. I'm actually kind of surprised that In Transit hasn't closed yet after being at that theater, along with the mixed reviews. The Booth is only about 100 seats more than the Circle, so I'm afraid that another show might have the same fate as Significant Other. But of course it all depends which show.
I hope Sweet Charity goes to the Jacobs, Once on This Island goes to the Booth, and Hadestown goes to Circle in the Square (fingers crossed for a transfer).
There's also The Band's Visit and Othello which could go into Circle in the Square

It played a respectable and successful 600 performances, and the conventional wisdom here was that it would flop because of subject. I don't think you can attribute its longevity to the venue.

I'm hoping for a Legally Blonde revival, it won't happen though.
Has it been officially announced at all? If it is, it will most likely go in a bigger theater.

The Band's Visit couldn't go into Circle in the Square. It has a fairly large revolving set.

Maybe The Kid Stays in the Picture, if it does transfer.
