That's right, the nominations are in! Spring Awakening tops the list with 21 nomination, a record breaker. Some of the nominations are a bit odd, but hey, that's Broadway.com. Go vote!

Was LoveMusik inelligable? or did it really get nothing.
Ohh wow, some of those noms are a little strange. I mean, I love the music in Spring Awakening, but 4 songs from that show and then ONE from another show. Interesting...
No, it was eligible, it's just Broadway.com
You know it's Broadway.com when Laura "Bland" Bundy and Lea Michelle get nominated over Donna Murphy.

Yeah, one from LEGALLY BLONDE.
And what is up with Favorite Breakthrough Performance (Female)?
4 Song Noms for Spring Awakening? Come on? SA is not the only good score this year.
All this gushing over SA really makes me sick.
All right, I liked Spring Awakening a lot, but some of those nominations are absurd. Remy for Best Breakout Performance? She sings two lines of "My Junk."

No Donna Murphy?! No LoveMusik Nod!? What is wrong with the world?!
- I should have known.. this is the website that gave us Word of Mouth..
You and me both FOA. I saw it Sunday and was left wondering if that was ALL. I don't see the fascination.
the new broadway song choices are interesting....no another winter in a summer town? i miss the music? anything that isn't from spring awakening? (not that i'm against it) but come on people.

WTF? 4 songs from Spring Awakening and "Omigod You Guys"?????????
I hope SPRING AWAKENING dosen't make an underserved sweep. I saw both it and GREY GARDENS this January, and while I do think it should win Best Musical, GG should get Score and Book.

Boy, you can certainly tell that they're the "Audience Awards."
I left GREY GARDENS far more moved than I was when I left SPRING AWAKENING.
I think it has a far superior score, book and performances.
I guess it's a long shot, but I would much rather see GREY GARDENS win Best Musical.
The new song category made me laugh...in a very sad way. Pick ANY song from GREY GARDENS and it's better than that headache-inducing opening number from LEGALLY BLONDE.
And the twenty million nominations for SPRING AWAKENING are just laughable.
NO DONNA MURPHY?! I still can't get over it.
But RockabyeHamlet is right...this is the website that gave us "Word of Mouth."
We had lots of young 'mo fans loading up these categories huh? And I don't mean Mo Rocca....

But now I am sort of curious to see whom SPRING AWAKENING fans prefer - Groff or Gallagher.
So it's obvious that the majority of people that vote for these things are 17 year old girls.
The SPRING AWAKENING obsession is only going to cause a backlash.
I loved the show when I saw it in previews.
I hate it now.
Boo! No songs from Grey Gardens!
Watch. When the winners are announced, Laura Bell Bundy will win Best Actress, and My Junk will win Best Song.
Ugh.

Spring Awakening's critical acclaim is not in dispute. And now the SA nay-sayers are complaining that in addition to the overwhelming support of theatre critics, SA has audience support as well?
Teka- I don't think anyone is mad that SA has audience support, but it's the fans of SA who think it's the greatest thing ever to hit a Broadway stag and deserves every single award it can possiby get. That's what people are getting anoyyed with.
The sheer amount of SA in those noms gave me a headache.
I voted for Natalie Cortez for best breakthrough performance... only one of the bunch whose character you care about.
