As the world's biggest Steven Pasquale fan (well, in my world, anyway), I have to say Patrick Wilson ain't too shabby. I know it's not a BRIDGES reunion, but Wilson and O'Hara together should be thrilling!

Yes, the City Center did a refund.

The only reason I got a ticket was for their on stage reunion, so I got a refund. I'm surprised they just let him out of something he already committed to to do that play. His voice is wasted on a play, but that is beside the point.
But, he's become this obsessive, obnoxious, infuriated dude who doesn't even support his own tv show (the one with Katherine Heigl) or his own wife's musical on social media. It's ALL about Russia and Trump, so if this play makes him feel better....cool I guess. But, this sucks.

I seriously doubt they "just let him out" of Brigadoon. I imagine his agent called City Center and said that he got cast in a play at a Tony-eligible theater for a higher salary and a longer run and he's pulling out. Not much City Center can do about that -- it happens from time to time, but I agree it sucks.

My friend at City Center said it was completely unexpected and very "abrupt". That is all he said. They are issuing to refunds to anyone who wants them, due to this ****ty development. It's like 5 days, he could have done it considering they don't rehearse very long for concerts. Unprofessional and annoying IMO.

I'm gonna take a really wild guess and assume you're not an actor. Get a grip.

No, I am not an actor. Thank God, But, I can have an opinion about one. Again, these boxes around me entitle me to it. Thanks so much!

Seriously girl, as others have already said, get a grip. Also, if you don't care for what HE posts on HIS social media platforms, then guess what --- there's a simple solution --- don't follow him.

Don't call me girl, it's obnoxious. I have a firm grip, thanks. I can express my extreme disappoint regarding the concert. That is what I'm entitled to. I have seen posters lose their minds on these message boards for thousands of things, including re-casting. Me saying it sucks means I need to get a grip? Hilarious.
I'm sure it was a massive struggle to decide between a concert at City Center and originating a role in a Broadway production at Lincoln Center. I can't believe he didn't request time off for this. The nerve. Unprofessional and annoying, indeed.
Similar situation a couple of years ago--he had to pull out of the R&H evening at Carnegie Hall because of filming, maybe for The Good Wife? Seems to me you have to go for the longer-term, better-paying gig.

Sorry. I had a different word in mind --- but that one probably would have gotten me suspended!

Haha. Yeah, probably you would! It's cute though, trying to tell a person what to do. On the internet. On an anonymous forum. Adorable.
Ado, I LOVE that gif and that movie! I'll chill but understand I am suuuuuper mad about Steven and will throw a tantrum about it every 5 minutes! Cause I can!
Margo319 you are fast becoming one of the most annoying posters on this site. And that's saying something.
Being disappointed about recasting is understandable, but clearly the thoughts you're airing about Mr. Pasquale are colored by things other than this specific choice to pursue another project, something entirely in his right and I'm sure dealt with in the proper professional manner.

Weren't you the one who had harsh words to say to the lady who had purchased in advance her plane and broadway tickets to specifically see Ben Platt on DEH, and then expressed her frustrations that Ben might not perform that night because he needs vocal rest? I guess in your mind, you're the only one entitled to express extreme frustration and throw a tantrum. LOL.

Hey, remember when Margo tried to read that person for being upset that Ben Platt was on vocal rest? Karma, girl.
I don't think Pasquale was enough of a draw for there to now be a lot of discounts for this show but we'll see. I don't like to gamble so I'll just hold on to my ticket for now.

Is Heidi Blickenstaff still in the show?

Yay indeed. It was also announced she is going to be in NBC's Rise this coming season. It was a good day to be Stephanie!
Stephanie Block has replaced Heidi Blickenstaff.
The original six scheduled performances are completely sold out except for the rear half of the balcony, where there are ample seats available.
The Sunday night performance that was added still has seats, some decent, available in the side wings of the orchestra. Many seats available in the second half of the mezzanine, and balcony seats available in every row but the first.
There may be some regret that the cast agreed to play a 4th weekend performance, quite a sacrifice, for a show that they were sure would sell out, but probably won't.
It will sell out regardless. Stephen has a good relationship with City Center. I am sure they understood considering he is participating in a 3 month run and is the lead. And Wilson is not a shabby replacement.
