Ok here I go: NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!  this one hurts. sadThis show is so genius and beautiful. Very sad to see it go. I wish all the cast and crew the best as they close out this powerhouse of a show.

shouldn't be a surprise considering it's current grosses. Such a shame considering what a wonderful production it is but it likely had a poor advance for the winter.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Sad this show is closing because it’s such a beautiful production but it was time. It definitely has had an incredible run and can’t be too disappointed with its Tony award. I know it’s unlikely but I really do hope this show tours. I know they have an LA date announced but so did Spring Awakening...

Very sad, but not surprising. It hasn't reached $500K since August, and even though it's a small theatre, it's a lot of show. At least we got to enjoy it for over a year.

(That said, I think they shot themselves in the foot by not discounting until grosses really dropped, and being stingy with group rates this coming spring.)

This was a good show (from what I heard and read) that deserved a longer run. I did have one question. Many folks on here said the design was brilliant and it was nothing like they have ever seen before. But, can someone tell me how the design and or direction differed from the Godspell Revival. If I watch clips from both shows, it almost seems like the same director touched both shows (though I know that it is not true). By the way I have not seen either show to the fullest ..just  clips..so just curious to hear thoughts on this!

What'll happen to the goat? I hope they don't kill it!

Yep, last show. They sacrifice the goat on stage at the end instead of Ti Moune.

Having not seen the revival of Godspell, I can't speak for it's design, but for OOTI, the design is so insanely immersive that you could feel like you were dropped on a desolated beach in the aftermath of a storm. The set bleeds into the theatre itself and the line between them is seamless. From the waterway entrance/exit to the sand covered floor, and the design reaching out to literally the back walls of the space with the clothes lines and the shrines as well, I've never seen anything like it before. It was not just a set, it was a world and you were in that world from the moment you entered. Things happens all around you and it only makes you feel more like you are in the story then just watching it.

What a magical show, wonderful in all ways.  Congratulations to all involved, they won a Tony for this, and should be very proud of the story they brought to life.

Is the cast recording the entire show or is there some dialogue missing? Debating whether to see this a second time or just listen to the cast recording again.

Saw this twice when it first opened. It’s up on TDF for anyone wondering. Going again next week! What a great show!

There is some small dialouge missing but the main thing missing it the chunk of script between "Forever Yours (Reprise)" And "A Part of Us." The funny thing is that that bit is included on the original cast recording but not on the revival recording. Ti Moune's scene begging to be let into the hotel and the wedding day.

Is Isaac Powell still in the show? Based on his bf's insta stories he seems to be...missing a lot of shows.

When is he seemingly “out”? The show is 90 minutes so most of his day is free, I would assume. They also have a fairly non-traditional performance schedule.

The neurotic in me is thinking how awful it will be to clean out all that sand. Or maybe it's all over some tarp, and it'll be very easy.

Probably the best show on Broadway to me, sad it’s finished but we all saw this coming!

And at the end their run will likely be the same as the original production, that’s something!

Hope the cast get good projects after this, especially Hailey and Alex!

I saw both, and they are two completely different beasts. While I will say the space is set up exactly the same, OoTI is a completely thought-out and undeniably beautiful production that utilizes the Circle in the Square space in ways that I have never seen in that space before. Godspell... well it didn't. The set was pretty minimal (wooden stage, big picture frame hanging above it, that's it). I walked in the theatre and was like meh, it just wasn't that flashy or exciting. Same for the show itself. Meanwhile OoTI has deserved all its critical acclaim and more in my opinion.

I'm curious if they'll be any way to tour it on a proscenium stage, like what they did with Fun Home...
