Do we have a sense of when the new cast will be announced? It's pretty close, so I'm surprised they haven't already done so!"
It will be hard to replace this cast because they OWN those roles, especially Jak Malone. I'm sure they have a fine new cast lined up, but I'm going again this weekend to see this cast for the third time."
While I agree that Jak Malone has truly delivered an iconic performance, I firmly disagree with your premise here. The show works so well that, as long as you have an ensemble that has the energy and understanding of farce, they can interchange people in and out of the roles and still create a memorable and unique experience (much like SIX). The West End production continues to run to sold out houses (even on their weird and wonderful Tuesday matinees) and they are moving to their fourth cast in a few months.
Also, sidebar, for those who bought tickets to the matinee on 2/22, Telecharge will reach out to see if you want to rebook for the night show at the same price point and you can do so through noon on Monday.
