It’s a mix of covers being bumped up and new actors including a recent Tony nominee.

The show announced they’ve added a 7:30pm show on February 22nd - so those who bought tickets to the 2pm final original cast show are no longer going to the final original cast show.
After all the press and marketing of the final original cast performing the 2pm show, this seems a bit unfair.

Do we have a sense of when the new cast will be announced? It's pretty close, so I'm surprised they haven't already done so!

It will be hard to replace this cast because they OWN those roles, especially Jak Malone. I'm sure they have a fine new cast lined up, but I'm going again this weekend to see this cast for the third time.

While I agree that Jak Malone has truly delivered an iconic performance, I firmly disagree with your premise here. The show works so well that, as long as you have an ensemble that has the energy and understanding of farce, they can interchange people in and out of the roles and still create a memorable and unique experience (much like SIX). The West End production continues to run to sold out houses (even on their weird and wonderful Tuesday matinees) and they are moving to their fourth cast in a few months.
Also, sidebar, for those who bought tickets to the matinee on 2/22, Telecharge will reach out to see if you want to rebook for the night show at the same price point and you can do so through noon on Monday.

Oooooooooo. She was very good in DEAD OUTLAW and is a great deadpanner, so I would love to see her take on the challenge of Monty’s d1¢k-swinging energy

Through the same method, I believe Jeff Kready will be the new Charles. Less confident on that one but we shall see.

For those who are looking to go on the final performance day matinee, keep an eye on Telecharge for those who exchanged seats as they may start popping back up. (I just released a last Row Mezz seat H132).
HOWEVER, I would expect a markup. The guy on the phone informed me that the seats for the final performance would start at $99. (The PV seats that would normally be $59).

Were you able to switch at the same price point? That seems to be the question of concern for many. I've been on hold for 50 minutes.

They tried to charge me twice as much for the same area I have for the matinee. A massive own goal from Mincemeat for trying to squeeze every penny out of their most loyal fans.

I was able to switch at the same price point AND also move my seat a little closer than what I had (since it was partial view mezz).
I love their option now of “don’t wait on the phone, we’ll call you back”. Makes my life so much easier.

The show definitely 'works' without the original cast, I guess the same way Hamilton does too. But I do think there was a bit of magic about them as individuals and together that I just didn't personally feel with the first replacement cast in London (haven't been back since). Said every musical fan who liked the OG cast of every show since the dawn of time but still.

After being on hold for a couple of hours - and then requesting a callback - I finally spoke with someone who confirmed that the seats in the section I held for the 2pm show were “already sold” for the 7:30. I could pay more for tickets that were less desirable (same section but not the same row/seat position).
So - no - I couldn’t rebook my seats in the same section at the same price point.
Has kind of tarnished the experience.
First world problems, I know.

Yeah, that comment has a bunch of replies with people saying that was not their experience. The poor social media person who was likely instructed to post that and has no involvement in any of the decisions has been replying and trying to connect them with Telecharge to find solutions Monday.

Same. Not the best look. The original cast will be deeply missed, their chemistry was magical.

Comments on the Instagram post indicate that the Producers may now be honoring the ticket prices paid for the matinee. What a mess! I hope they/Telecharge reach back out to all who had to deal with this. At the very least they should refund the difference I (we / many) were forced to pay for what was NOT a ticket swap.

Was at the 2pm matinee on Sunday 2/08 and Gerianne Perez was Montagu. The rest of the UK cast were in their roles. Gerianne was very good and she told me afterwards that she is staying on as Montagu after the UK cast departs. Had a nice visit with Jak after the performance.

Also, if Gerianne is staying on as Montagu, maybe Julia Knitel will be Jean-Leslie instead. Gerianne is fantastic as Montagu so I’d be fine with this
